Can anybody stop Salada de Frutas’ reign?!

For the fourth consecutive time this season, Salada de Frutas have won the regional qualifier and earned another 100 points on the leaderboard.

Since they started participating in the qualifiers, Salada de Frutas have yet to be defeated. This qualifier, their road to the finals started in the second round where they met last week’s runner-ups, Interventna. It was as if the bracket was purposedly made to make Salada de Frutas playday as hard as possible. Their next opponents were Winx Club, the second-placed team on the leaderboard, while in the semifinals they met Omert4, who are currently third.

Dominjo carry and BalkanTalentsEsport were the two main candidates for the second finals spot. Dominjo carry were better than Reborn Legends Esports and QuickMind, but failed to pass their last challenge before the finals. They were defeated by BalkanTalentsEsport. The latter had a good run against teams such as Twisted Mind, Omerta Blue, and finally Dominjo carry. Salada de Frutas had no problems this time either and easily closed out the final match in their favor.

Salada de Frutas keep dominating the region!

After plowing over the competition for the third time, Salada de Frutas now have 300 points on the Brawl Stars leaderboard.

In this qualifier, we had great matches since the very first round. Omert4 and Mayoi met each other and the following match saw Omert4 come out as the winners. In the same part of the bracket, Winx Club bested FA Impact and then went on to defeat Omert4 in the Round of 16. Winx Club secured a top-eight spot, but that is all they managed to achieve this qualifier, as Salada de Frutas were in the upper part of the bracket as well. After outplaying Ultra Crnci and QuickMind, Andrey_ & co. were better than Winx Club as well and advanced to the semifinals. There, they met a newer team – BalkanTalentsEsport.

This squad defeated teams such as Reborn Legends Esports and Lightning Strike before reaching the semis, but they weren’t ready to face the level of play the Salada de Frutas players displayed in the arena. Even more impressive is the result of Interventna, another new team that hasn’t played a qualifier so far this season. Interventna eliminated Immortal Balkans Junior from the fourth Brawl Stars qualifier and also bested HELIHOPTERI and pop off in the following rounds. Their great streak came to an end in the finals when Salada de Frutas showed them who’s boss. Check out today’s stream below:

Brawl Stars Q4

This week in A1AL: More cups, more points, more games!

CS:GO’s first SWISS round is coming to an end, and in the meantime, FIFA and Brawl Stars will crown their fourth qualifier’s winners this week.

Brawl Stars

We have a slight map change for this week of Brawl Stars. Instead of Brawl Ball, our regional squads will be playing Bounty. Last week, Salada de Frutas claimed first place after their second consecutive win for this season. Winx Club are currently second with 150 points, and Omert4 are trailing behind by only 10 points. It has been a whole month since the qualifiers started, and we are slowly starting to round up the teams that will participate in this season’s SWISS stage. This week, one Brawl Stars player talked about the current season and his expectations for the League. This is what Protić from Omert4 had to say:

“Hello, I am protić from team Omerta. I am playing together with Bogdan and Brankec. We are currently third which has been good enough so far, but we are sure that we could have done better because we lost important matches to small mistakes. We could maybe have been first or second, but we are satisfied with our placement seeing as the competition is much tougher in this season and a lot of good new teams appeared. Of course, our biggest rivals for the season are Salada de Frutas and Winx Club, and I would also add Lightning Strike here. They started playing together this season and they are already looking great. They are currently placed fourth and they are really close to the other teams.

As far as my expectations are concerned, if we continue with this form, I believe that we will reach the very final stages of the tournament – at least top 4. After that, nothing is certain, as all teams there will be very good and there will be a number of intense matches that could easily end both ways. With enough practice and preparations, I am sure that we could reach the finals and maybe even win the whole league. I just want to say that I am eagerly awaiting the next qualifiers and I wish good luck to all the other teams!”

FIFA

There are only two FIFA qualifiers remaining. After the qualifying phase comes to an end, the best eight players will play a SWISS group stage, but in the new edition of the franchise, FIFA22. Our reigning champion, Tarik “amke2001” Novo continued with his great performance in the third qualifier where he defeated Esad “esad1memic” Memić in the grand finals. The latter played is currently ranked second, together with Đorđe “JasikFIFA” Cumbo (both players have 130 points). Miloš “brstimir” Majdevac and Harun “Hara” Parla are close to the aforementioned players and they are looking to close the difference in the upcoming qualifier.

CS:GO

iNation, SKUAK, 4glory, and Young Glorians. Those are the names of the four teams that played the very first CS:GO playday for this eighth season of Counter-Strike. The iNation squad led by Ivan “choiv7” Živković faced Bledar “BledarD” Dula & SKUAK in a fierce BO3 which saw the former came out as winners after two maps. The same thing happened in 4glory’s match, but with much more difficulties. Namely, Young Glorians nearly upset 4glory on two occasions, taking the game to overtime both times. In the end, 4glory’s experience reigned supreme and they closed out the match in their favor. This week, the first SWISS round continues. PORTUGAL is going to challenge Marten Gaming, while BLUEJAYS will play versus JESTE.

Salada de Frudas destroy the competition in the second Brawl Stars qualifier!

Salada de Frudas showed everyone that they are back and won the second Brawl Stars qualifier of this A1 Adria League season!

The teams that won the first points showed that their great performances weren’t a one-time thing. Omert4 outplayed and eliminated Winx Club, their opponents in the previous final, in the third round of this qualifier. Lightning Strike and Immortal Balkans faced off a round later, and in the end, Lightning Strike came out as the winners. There were also new names between the top teams. Namely, Mayoi EU defeated teams such as Uchiha Klan and Omerta Blue in the earlier rounds of the qualifier, while Reborn Legends Esports faced IamGang and Night Alpha. These two teams faced against each other in the quarterfinals and Mayoi came out as the winners.

Back in the upper half of the bracket, DzonDzon and Salada de Frudas also had a great run. They beat Dominjo carry, kowey., and in the quarterfinals, they managed to eliminate last qualifier’s winners, Omert4. Salada de Frutas reached the finals over Lightning Strike, and there, the final BO5 match of this playday saw Salada de Frutas overpower their opponents, Mayoi, with ease.

GOOD IS NOT ENOUGH; beat the best in the 8th season of A1 Adria League!

The summer break is slowly coming to an end which means that it is time to announce the new season of the A1 Adria League. Players from all over the region have had plenty of time to improve their skills, work on teamplay, fix their previous mistakes, and prepare for the beginning of Season 8. The game roster remains the same – CS:GO, League of Legends, Brawl Stars, and FIFA will be available to the regional esport athletes in the following months, whether to participate in the league or just follow the action. A1 Adria League is slowly becoming a pillar of the regional Brawl Stars scene, while FIFA is bigger than ever. CS:GO keeps impressing us time and time again and will be featured for the eighth time this season, while League of Legends’ re-introduction to the A1 Adria League made us remember older memories and eagerly expect the upcoming two seasons.

Dimitrije “DiMKE” Veljković has become the undisputed regional CS:GO champion for the fourth time in a row. Split Raiders were on another level and dominated the competition in League of Legends. Tarik “amke2001” Novo was crowned the back-to-back FIFA champion, and last, but most certainly not least, one of the Noble Elite teams, BLK, outplayed the Brawl Stars teams.

Brawl Stars

With small differences compared to the previous season, Brawl Stars is back once again. We keep stating how Brawl Stars is growing in the region day by day, and that has never been more true than right now. There are enormous amounts of teams playing and competing to reach the next competitive level. A1 Adria League is here to help the players in their journey, as seen recently with the Clash of Leagues where we sent two regional teams to the prestigious tournament.

Two more qualifiers will be added to the qualifying stage of the eighth season. With the total number now being six, teams will have more chances to earn points and qualify for the SWISS stage. Once again, we are featuring a BO5/BO3 SWISS stage which will guarantee that only the very best teams make it through to the double-elimination playoffs.

The 16 best teams of every cup will earn points which will be split in the following manner:

First place – 100 points
Second place – 70 points
Third and fourth place – 50 points
Fifth to eight place – 20 points
Ninth to sixteenth place – 10 points

FIFA

Just like Season 5, this season’s FIFA league will take place during the usual transitional period for the franchise. Regional FIFA players will play a similar format as Supercell’s Brawl Stars. This has been an exciting year for the regional scene which has had plenty of tournaments so far, and we are sure that the players have prepared well for the eighth A1 Adria League season.

The five open qualifiers will boast a BO2 single elimination bracket with the semifinal and final matches being BO3. After the qualifiers come to an end, the SWISS league participants will transition to FIFA22. The new FIFA22 will be the home of the A1 Adria League during the SWISS stage (BO3) and the playoffs of the league (double-elimination BO3).

Depending on their results, the top 16 players will receive points after every qualifier comes to an end:

First place – 100 points
Second place – 70 points
Third place – 50 points
Fourth place – 40 points
Fifth to eight place – 20 points
Ninth to sixteenth place – 10 points

Who will become the first FIFA22 A1 Adria League champion?

CS:GO

CS:GO is back yet again! The domination of Dimitrije “DiMKE” Veljković’s teams continued into 2021 and culminated with their victory in the seventh season. But after the season came to an end, a number of teams, most notably 4glory, Marten Gaming, AIRLYA (ex-Good Game), and anlaki have been playing and winning on the regional scene. An interesting season is certainly before us and the time to sign up and be a part of it is NOW!

Besides the two invited teams, six squads will participate in the eight CS:GO season of the A1 Adria League. The top eight teams of the open qualifier will play in the closed qualifier which will give out three spots in the League. The same format will repeat once again, for the second pair of qualifiers. Six qualified and two invited teams will then play a BO3 SWISS stage and fight for four spots in the single-elimination BO3 playoffs.

With four in a row, can DiMKE & co. make it five or will a new team step up to the challenge?

League of Legends

Probably the biggest format change in the new season will happen in League of Legend’s format. Instead of the Season 7 format which featured national qualifiers and playoffs before reaching the regional playoff stage, this season we will have a simpler format. Regional League of Legends teams will play a total of four qualifiers during which will start a bit later than the other qualifiers.

Two teams from every qualifier will advance directly to the regional playoffs. Here, a double-elimination BO3 bracket will reveal the two teams that will clash in the grand BO5 final of the League. Split Raiders won the comeback season last time, and now is your time to take their title away! Sign up and become the new A1 Adria League LoL champion.

Omerta skip a match; on the verge of disqualification in Clash of Leagues!

Instead of playing yesterday’s match against Crystal Gaming Red, Omerta missed it and are now facing disqualification from the Clash of Leagues.

Crystal Gaming Red and Omerta were supposed to play during Day 6 of the Clash of Leagues which was played out yesterday. The second-placed team had the favorite role in this match, but our Serbian team could have still held their ground and fought to upset the team. However, when the time to start the match arrived, Omerta were nowhere to be seen. Whether it was because they had technical difficulties, or they simply decided to skip the match because they can’t qualify for the playoffs anymore, the tournament administration is currently making a decision about Omerta’s future in the league.

If they decide to disqualify Omerta, it will be the second such decision in the group stage, after papahellfans were disqualified a couple of rounds ago. If not, we will watch Omerta during the remaining group stage matches where they will fight to earn the highest possible place on the leaderboard.

What do you think, will Omerta finish the group stage or will they leave a bit earlier than other teams?

Omerta

Crystal Gaming Red are Omerta’s next opponents!

While there aren’t any chances of reaching the final stage, Omerta are still more than eager to defeat their opponents until the end of the groups.

Today, Omerta are facing Crystal Gaming Red, a great, talented squad that has been a thorn to other teams throughout the Clash of Leagues. This team is placed second, six points behind the absolute favorites, BIG. They are tied with OKA Gaming, the team that destroyed all chances of Omerta qualifying for the final stages in the last playday. Seeing as these two teams are tied on the leaderboard, we can expect a match of similar quality today as well. Omerta are ready and able to defeat names such as Crystal Gaming Red, and they are going to give it their best tonight.

Make sure to join in the stream and support our squad in their match versus Crystal Gaming Red:

Omerta are playing two matches today and can win up to four points which would place them amongst the top three teams on the leaderboard. Tune in at 18 o’clock and watch their matches together with SupremeNexus (YouTubeTwitchTrovoFacebook).

Omerta face OKA Gaming in the fifth round!

Round 5 of the Clash of Leagues will be played out today, with Omerta probably playing their most important match yet in the tournament.

The last playday featured a total of two rounds in one day. The leaderboard changed drastically after those two rounds as the top teams are steadily securing the first three spots. However, there is plenty of time to change the final rankings and Omerta will certainly give their best to do exactly that. The Serbian team needs to win every single one of their remaining matches to advance further in the Clash of Leagues.

Last time, Omerta showed great resilience in the two matches they played. Bulgarian Pros managed to outplay them in the end, but their victory against KMRGMR gave them a slim but existing chance to come back in the group stage. Today, their opponents are OKA Gaming. While certainly not the toughest opponent Omerta have faced, the match versus OKA Gaming is their most important one yet. If they lose this matchup, their chances of reaching the final stage are over. If they win, they will have to repeat this success two more time to join the top 8 of the Clash of Leagues.

Tune in at 18 o’clock and watch OKA Gaming vs. Omerta together with SupremeNexus (YouTube, Twitch, Trovo, Facebook).

Omerta: “BIG are too strong, we should have more chances in future matches.”

Clash of Leagues Day 1 is now comfortably behind us, with the favourites securing most of the wins in their opening matches.

BIG managed to overpower the regional team after only two modes. Omerta tried their best, but the German squad was eager to take the victory, and they did it. lule_andjelko, Bogdan, and Niko will look for their first victory elsewhere, while BIG are now a step closer to reaching the final stage of the tournament. Next up, Bulgarian Pros and Papahellfans clashed! The Bulgarian team which competes in the A1 Gaming League had an easy time against their opponents and defeated them 2-0.

The third game of the day was once again a sweep. Crystal Gaming Red faced OKA Gaming, one of the teams that qualified via the International Qualifier. OKA were powerless against CGR and joined Omerta and Papahellfans as the losers of the first Clash of Leagues playday. KMRGMR and FreeWin, two teams that qualified for the tournament along with OKA Gaming met each other on the very first day of the group stage. Both teams won a set, but in the end, KMRGMR was the team that reached number 2 first and secured their first win.

The second playday is set to be played out on the 30th of July. Make sure to follow us on social media and stay updated with any news concerning the Clash of Leagues.

We contacted the Omerta players after their match against BIG came to an end:

“We played against BIG who are one of the favourites not only for passing the groups, but for winning the whole event. Of course, BIG were the favourites in our match and we should have offered more resistance, especially during the Heist set where we simply didn’t leave our base because of their constant pressure. We didn’t leave the base and couldn’t do anything while attacking. During our defence, we held our own for a couple of minutes, but after that BIG took control of the game and defeated us.
In the first Hot Zone match, we had an idea to go really aggressive with Edgar, Buzz, and Bibi and to try to split them apart using constant pressure that these Brawlers offer with their abilities, but unfortunately, we totally missed our picks even though we knew that we were either going to guess the matchup or miss it. It was a high-risk, high-reward decision and we drew the short straw. In our second match, we had a good matchup but we made a couple of small mistakes that we shouldn’t make versus teams like BIG who exploited them and punished us severely. This defeat wasn’t hard on us because we knew that BIG are currently one of the best teams in the EMEA region and we have tried our best. Nevertheless, we shouldn’t be sad or disappointed because we played against the strongest opponent already and now we have matches against opponents that we think we can defeat. Our focus is on the next match, we already started with the preparations and we hope to have our first win in the second round!”

Clash of Leagues

Three teams complete the Clash of Leagues list!

The international Brawl Stars tournament which is set to begin on the 27th of July now has the names of all of its participants. It is time to start the Clash of Leagues!

During the previous weekend, teams from all countries of the CEE region competed in the international qualifiers for a spot in the Clash of Leagues. Only three teams were needed to fill the spots and play with the best teams of Central & Eastern Europe, and we got them. Namely, the German scene had a particularly great event with great success in the qualifiers. When it comes to the regional teams, a number of them competed in the qualifiers with and achieved good results, but unfortunately, it was not enough.

Immortal Balkan Blue and Black were some of those teams. neca’s geng and Talibani s baustele represtented the region as well. The fourth-placed team of the seventh A1 Adria League season, Mayoi, had a great run in the lower bracket, but couldn’t go all the way and was only two wins shy of qualifying for the tournament. Immortal Balkans Black played in the final winners round, lost, and were sent to the lower bracket. There, they lost to Talibani s bauštele, who were powerless against FreeWin. The teams that qualified in the upper bracket were KMRGMR and OKA Gaming.

Clash of Leagues

Now that we know the teams, the main part of the league can start. On the 27th of July, we are going to watch the first day of the group stage which is set to last until the 13th of August. The very next days, the quarterfinals start and the action will get better and better each day until the Grand Finals.

Since a majority of the Noble Elite Red and BLK players were under the required age of 16, the two teams combined their players into one squad, while the second regional slot will be claimed by Omerta.
