This week in A1AL: Second round is drawing to a close!

Two FIFA and Brawl Stars and three CS:GO matches remain until the end of the second SWISS round. The teams are slowly gaining the lead in the group stage and are fighting for their spot in the playoffs.

Brawl Stars

As always, the opening game for our A1 Adria League week is Brawl Stars. First up is the duel between Lil Surprise and Mayoi – a match that will decide who joins Noble Elite BLK in the 2-0 pool. Mayoi managed to get here with a win against Omerta, while Lil Surprise beat a weakened 09 Gang in the first round.

When the first duel concludes, Noble Elite Red and QSKE will enter the arena to fight for their first win. As QSKE Gaming forfeited their last match, this will be the first time we are seeing them in this season of the A1 Adria League. Noble Elite Red are still recovering from their defeat versus Tora Gold which sent them to the 0-1 pool. After this match, one of the teams will join 09 Gang in the 0-2 pool, while the other one will hold their spot in the middle of the standings.

FIFA

Friday, FIFA day! The only Slovenian player in this season, Leon “Sardinho213” Sardi will face Armin “Arminho0307” Hasanbegović in the first match. Arminho barely lost his match in the previous round and will be looking to fix his mistake versus Sardinho. Sardinho, on the other hand, was demolished by amke2001 6-1 which really isn’t a great start of the season. Though we are still early on and there are plenty of chances for the Slovenian FIFA player to redeem himself, his first being on Friday versus Arminho.

Marko “Klaic” Klaić and Emir “Sulja” Suljović – a clash between the new players. Each of them won one of the qualifying cups despite facing great competition from the whole region, but their start wasn’t the best and they are now looking to get their first victory. Sulja fell to brstimir and klaic wasn’t able to defeat FIFAFICO. After Friday ends, one of them will be playing in the 0-2 pool, while the second one will join FIFAFICO, esad1memic and the Sardinho/Arminho winner with 1-1.

CS:GO

ONYX weren’t able to compete on Sunday so the match was rescheduled for the next playday. That means that we will be watching three great CS:GO matches on Sunday, with ONYX opening up the fourth playday at 14 o’clock. Their opponents will be PORTUGAL.

When that match concludes, Midnight will take on Onliners in our second BO3 of the day. Both teams are new to the League and haven’t met each other yet, which means that the match will be even more interesting than usual. To end the day, 4glory will face Good Game – a match between two of the favorites for this season of A1 Adria League.

QSKE forfeit; Mayoi win their match versus Omerta

With today’s matches coming to an end, we know the teams that will be heading into the second Brawl Stars SWISS round as a part of the 1-0 pool – Tora Gold, Lil Surprise, Noble Elite BLK, and Mayoi.

Just like last week, one of the matches was forfeited and we watched just one game of Brawl Stars. This time, some of QSKE Gaming’s players were unable to play and the team ended up forfeiting the match against Noble Elite BLK. The former Good Game Gold now has one win, unlike their colleagues from Noble Elite Red, who recently lost to Tora Gold.

The only match of the day was a clash between Mayoi and Omerta, the team that was known as Wolves until recently. And again, just like last week, the one match that was played showed the level of the competitive Brawl Stars scene in the region and skills that both teams and. Omerta and Mayoi played up until the very last minute. In the end, however, Mayoi was the team that clinched the victory over their fierce opponents.

FIFA21, Brawl Stars and CS:GO qualifiers finish in style!

With our second A1 Adria League qualifying weekend coming to a close, the Brawl Stars teams and FIFA players that secured a spot from the qualifiers are known. The CS:GO team list is completed and the invited teams will be revealed soon!

Brawl Stars

Some familiar names were seen playing under the Noble Elite Red and BLK tags during the third qualifier. In the quarterfinals, Noble Elite Red bested Crna ruka, while BLK was better than Immortal Balkans. O9 Gang and QSKE advanced to the semis over Wolfs and Red Devils, respectively. The qualifier ended with a Noble Elite Red win. Lavvek’s Red squad was able to outplay DzonDzon and the rest of BLK and earn the biggest amount of points for this qualifier.

Noble Elite Red weren’t any worse in the fourth qualifier either. In this final match, their opponents were Tora Gold who had just eliminated Noble Elite BLK before advancing to the finals. The other teams that ended up in the top 8 were Mayoi, O9 Gang, QSKE, Wolves, and SM Gaming Elite.

FIFA21

Just like Brawl Stars, FIFA’s four-cup qualifying process ended this weekend. During the previous weekend, klaic upset the usual favorites and managed to snatch the grand 100 points. This time, the player that surprised everyone was the Bosnian player Sulja – he beat brstimir in the grand finals and put himself in the top 8 overall rankings.

Sunday was a day for one of NK Osijek‘s new players, esad1memic. The Bosnian player plowed through the competition on his way to the finals, beating his new Osijek teammate, Jasikm in the quarterfinal. FIFAFICO and Ajdin977 were the last two players separating esad1memic from his grand prize and he managed to beat them.

CS:GO

Over 60 teams hopped on the servers to fight for the remaining three CS:GO spots. proWince, fullshock, QSKE Gaming, JUJUTSU KAISEN, PORTUGAL, MADNESS, MIX, and VENDETTAS 5 were the teams that entered the closed qualifiers.

The Macedonian-majority PORTUGAL started the closed qualifier with a win over QSKE. MIX were able to outplay VENDETTAS 5, while fullshock defeated proWince. The fourth match of the quarterfinals was a game between DEPRESHNN’s JUJUTSU KAISEN and MADNESS which ended in a victory for the former. PORTUGAL and fullshock won their semifinal matchups and qualified for the seventh A1 Adria League season. MIX bested JUJUTSU KAISEN in the third-place decider and secured the final spot in the league.

One step closer to the Group Stage!

The first week of qualifiers is now behind us. Our FIFA players and Brawl Stars teams earned their first points, and in CS:GO, three teams secured their spot in the group stage of the upcoming A1 Adria League season.

Brawl Stars

Two of the four qualifying Brawl Stars cups were played out during the weekend. We were met with a change of pace in the first qualifier. Good Game Gold and Red, the teams that dominated the last season, faced each other in the first round and the Gold players were eliminated. The Red squad didn’t have much better results either, losing to Immortal Balkans, but they managed to snatch 20 points, finishing this qualifier 5-8th.

O9 Gang triumphed in the first cup after beating Mayoi in the finals. Except for these four teams, Wolfs, QSKE Gaming 5M Gaming Elite and Ekipa 69 also won their share of points.

On Sunday, 32 teams entered the Brawling arenas to battle it out and try to qualify for the seventh A1 Adria League season. Good Game Gold and Red did better this time around, but the up-and-comers once again bested them. Lil surprise took the main prize while Wolfs came in second. Good Game Red, Ekipa 69, Crna ruka and Mayoi placed 5-8th and Good Game Gold and O9 Gang finished in the top four.

 

FIFA21

The FIFA qualifiers started off with a massive bang in the second qualifiers. A player from Bosnia and Herzegovina, klaic, bested arminho0307, Sivii7 and finally, esad1memic, to win the second FIFA21 A1 Adria League qualifier. klaic is a player that has played plenty of FIFA in the past, but this is allegedly his first competitive tournament.

The previous cup was won by amke2001. FIFAFICO was unable to defeat him in the finals and only got 70 points. esad1memic ended this qualifier as the third best player, followed by HRVoje-1995. The top 8 was completed by brstimir, xMarjus, Hara and Sardinho213.

 

CS:GO

Around 60 teams signed up for the first CS:GO qualifier. Good Game, INSOMNIA, SKUAK Gaming, Cobalt Esports, Locco Contigo, Onlinerss, MIX and Qske Gaming were the teams that managed to advance do the closed qualifier.

Two great victories against SKUAK Gaming and QSKE placed the Macedonian team Good Game in the League. The second team to follow them were Onliners who had beaten Cobalt Esports and INSOMNIA in the this stage of the qualifying process. In the end, these two sides were joined by Cobalt who outplayed QSKE in the third-place decider.

Crashbanter crushes the A1 Gaming Weekend TEKKEN 7 competition!

After Roksa took the main prize in PES2021, QSKE Gaming’s Crashbanter was the player that outplayed the competition in our second A1 Gaming Weekend, featuring TEKKEN 7.

Our first TEKKEN 7 cup saw over 40 players sign up and battle it out for the grand prize of €200. The double-elimination bracket proved to be a great addition to the tournament as the actual winner of the tournament, Crashbanter, managed to climb back from the lower bracket and defeat his opponent in his second try.

After a couple of rounds of play, four players remained in the upper bracket. Crashbanter couldn’t stand up to Kalash, while Yamato defeated Chipmeister FiGi. Kalash continued his great streak with yet another win against Yamato who was relegated to the lower half of the bracket. Chipmeister FiGi and Crashbanter met in the lower bracket semis and while QSKE’s veteran was fighting for the win, Yamato was waiting for him in the lower bracket finals. Nevertheless, Yamato was powerless versus Crashbanter who calmly secured his place in the Grand Finals.

Kalash and Crashbanter faced each other for the main prize. Crashbanter was able to end Kalash’s winning streak and reset the score before taking one more 3-0 victory and leaving the Grand Finals and the whole tournament as the undisputed A1 Gaming Weekend TEKKEN 7 champion.

These were the top three A1 Gaming Weekend – TEKKEN 7 players:

The first week of qualifiers has come to an end!

With CS:GO and FIFA finishing during the weekend, three of the four titles reached the end of the first set of qualifiers for the upcoming A1 Adria League season.

Brawl Stars

Over 80 teams signed up for the first Brawl Stars qualifiers. We saw familiar names in the Round of 16 with the Good Game Gold and Red teams securing a spot in the quarterfinals, while ULC eSports couldn’t outplay Never Surrender. FA Deadly were the better team in their match versus YouLose and Blue Whales managed to beat Old School.

Code Lyoko and FA Deadly couldn’t get past GG Gold and O9 Gang, respectively. ToDe05 and GG Red breezed past Blue Whales and MysteryWarriors secured the last spot in the semifinals. After two intense matches in the semis, both of Good Game’s teams advanced to the finals. A 3-1 victory for the Serbian side earned GG Red their first 100 points in the road to the playoffs.

Clash Royale’s only qualifier unfortunately got delayed because of problems inside the game. The qualifier will continue next Friday on the FACEIT platform.

FIFA

We had the chance to see familiar names in the first FIFA qualifier. Last season’s champion, esad1memic, convincingly secured his spot in the finals. JasikFifa and Harun met each other in the Round of 16 with the latter proceeding to the quarters. An interesting matchup happened between brstimir and amke2001 where the Serbian player managed to beat amke and enter the semifinal match versus Harun.

Even after a convincing win in his match against Aleksandar Djuric, Persunipzs wasn’t able to match up to esad1memic and ended the first qualifier in the fourth place. Harun had to play the third-place decider after a loss to brstimir who even beat the reigning champion, esad1memic, and won the first FIFA qualifier.

CS:GO

The first pair of open CS:GO qualifiers took place during the weekend. The best eight teams from this pair of qualifiers advanced to the closed qualifier that will take place during the next weekend. Three out of the eight participating teams will secure a spot in the sixth season of A1 Adria League, and the cycle will repeat for the next pair of qualifiers.

On Saturday we saw Karlo “KukaOG” Kukovec and peek me reach new heights and qualify for the closed qualifier. QSKE Gaming and Shock Bomb are now a step closer to the League after dominant victories against FREE KILL and Lemonsqueazy and the last team that secured a spot in the upcoming qualifier is Jan “jkXy” Konečnik’s Krsko squad.

After missing out on the first qualifier, Kristijan “kiLLeRa” Kukovski and GODZ1337 had no problems advancing to the closed qualifier. The Kosovar MiKS squad featuring names like vAloN and HYPER1 along with BUDI2 also entered the race for the three spots in the League. FREE KILL were the last team to end this qualifier victorious as they bested Wait Wait Wait on Inferno and Dust2 without any difficulties.

Four qualifiers, eight teams, five rounds of SWISS. The last month has been filled by the best Counter-Strike our region can offer. After the regular season finished, we have four remaining sides still in the fight. The first day of the CS:GO playoffs finished with the favourites, QSKE and lvlUP (ex-Juggernauts), each earning a spot in the Upper Bracket Finals.

The day started with a derby between QSKE Gaming and GamerS1337. The players from both teams are very familiar with each other, and both the maps were intense and interesting to watch. The first map, Nuke, was pretty close at the beginning but then QSKE managed to get a good round streak and finish the half with a 10-5 lead. They even extended their lead to 15-9 at one point, but the GamerS weren’t ready to give up. Blaže “HEv1X” Hristov and his squad won four rounds in a row and brought the map to 15-13, but QSKE closed it out and went to Inferno with a 1-0 lead.

After a 8-3 lead on Inferno for QSKE, GamerS1337 turned the game around and had a 11-8 lead at one point. The QSKE players didn’t let that destroy them mentally and kept their cool, eventually winning the match and the series (Inferno 16-12). With this win, they are a step closer to the Grand Finals, while GamerS1337 will be facing Blink in the Lower Bracket elimination game tomorrow.

We saw a rematch of the last season’s finals between lvlUp and Blink in our second match. We didn’t see a third map this time as the Serbian powerhouse closed out the match after only two maps, Nuke and Train. After having a strong 9-2 start on the T side of Nuke, Blink started getting into the game and quickly brougth the match to a 11-11 scoreline. At the very end of the match, lvlUP won five rounds in a row and came a step closer to their match against QSKE.

Train, as one of Blink’s best maps was much closer in terms of the scoreline, and we saw our first playoffs overtime. After two 9-6 halfs, the match went into overtime where lvlUP edged out Blink and booked a spot in the Upper Bracket Finals versus QSKE (Train – 19-17).

As we are approaching the fourth SWISS round of A1 Adria League, let’s take a look at what happened in the last two playdays.

Athaim (ex-Karavan) managed to upset yet another favorite in an intense Train match. This time, Blink was the team that couldn’t handle Filip “DEPRESHNN” Jarkić’s troops and Athaim are now a victory away from the playoffs. The match between GamerS1337 and odred otpisanih was cancelled due to odred otpisanih not being able to have all five players available on time.

The second playday of the third round saw Juggernauts take on Shock bomb on Mirage. The ex-Juggernauts player, Luka “c0llins” Živanović wasn’t able to stand up to his old teammates and lost the match 9-16. The Shock bomb players were able to get back in the game after a shaky start, but they couldn’t show up in the second half and gave a point to the current champions.

In the first BO3 match of the league, QSKE Gaming faced Gameroids in the 2-0 pool match. Gameroids started the series dominantly with a 16-6 victory on Dust2. QSKE didn’t stand a chance on Gameroids’ map pick, but they managed to bounce back on Nuke with a close 16-14 win. The last map, Overpass, went in favor of Gameroids in the first half. Even though Gameroids had a five-round advantage, the Macedonian squad had a perfect T-side and closed out the match without losing a single round (Overpass – 16-10).

The second round of the A1 Adria League CS:GO SWISS stage went underway on Sunday and the teams with best performances managed to secure a spot in the 2-0 bracket.

The playday started with a 1-0 match between QSKE Gaming and Karavan. After two clean victories in the first round, the teams went all out in their road to the 2-0 pool and a step closer to the playoffs. QSKE had a dominant start and were a level above Karavan during the bigger part of the match, but as the end drew near, Karavan started coming back and won seven rounds in a row. The match went from a 14-7 QSKE lead to an intense 14-14 game where the Macedonian squad managed to barely slip past and take the win with a 16-14 score.

After a surprising loss in the first round, Juggernauts had a sudden change before the start of the second playday. David “devoduvek” Dobrosavljević will not play the remainder of the League with Juggernauts with the coach Darko “soLo” Mitić standing in in his place. This change didn’t present a problem for Juggernauts and they obliterated Odred otpisanih 16-2 on an unusual map pick, Vertigo. This loss sent Odred otpisanih to the 0-2 pool and a step closer to elimination.

Gameroids and Shock bomb went into the 1-0 match after two close victories against Blink and GamerS1337, respectively. The game on Dust2 was pretty close during the first half, but Gameroids started increasing their lead on the defense and quickly won the match 16-10. Gameroids became the first team to secure a spot in the 2-0 part of the League, and they will fight for the first spot in the playoffs in their next match against QSKE Gaming.

Blink learned their lesson in the first match and went into their second game as a completely different team. Blaže “HEv1X” Hristov and GamerS1337 had no chance against the Kosovar squad and they found themselves at a 2-13 disadvantage at the end of the first half. The GamerS tried to win some rounds and get a good streak going on, but after reaching their 9th round, Blink closed out the game and the second A1 Adria League CS:GO playday.

CS:GO group stage starts with two massive upsets!

After four qualifiers, we got the eight teams that will compete in this CS:GO season of A1 Adria League and during the last week we saw the first day of the League being played out. Each team played a BO1 match and we had a chance to see a couple of surprises and high-quality games on the broadcast.

GamerS1337 and Shock bomb played the first game in this season of A1 Adria League. The Macedonian-majority team, GamerS1337, had a good start on Dust2 and closed out the first half with a 9-6 lead. Shock bomb won the second pistol round and quickly started catching up to the GamerS, with the latter losing a 12-7 advantage. Luka “c0llins” Živanović and Shock bomb took the lead at the end of the game and closed the map 16-14 in their favour.

The second match of the day showed the reigning champions, Juggernauts, that winning back-to-back seasons of A1 Adria League will take much more effort than expected. Karavan started their Inferno game with a clean win in the pistol round. Miloš “dEE” Marčeta and Juggernauts won the force-buy, but couldn’t keep playing on the same level and Karavan managed to increase their lead to 12-6 in the second half. Juggernauts tried to come back, but David “devoduvek” Dobrosavljević’s debut was spoiled by the Karavan side who secured their first victory with a 16-10 scoreline.

The Kosovar derby between Gameroids and Blink saw the former have a dominant start on the defence and Blink couldn’t counter them in any way. After a 10-3 lead for the Gameroids, Blink had a streak of 6 rounds and nearly evened the score. Ernest “xhoci” Xhoci contributed the most in the second half even after having a 0-8 start at the beginning of the game. Blink made the game much more intense and secured the 13th round before eventually losing the Inferno match 16-13.

The favorites who actually won their match in the first playday were QSKE Gaming who beat odred otpisanih 16-7 on Inferno. Valentin “powerdy” Duracoski’s team had the lead during the whole game and didn’t let odred otpisanih come close to them. After a 10-5 advantage on the defense, QSKE let their opponents win only two rounds before closing out the game and climbing on top of the A1 Adria League CS:GO leaderboard.
