Shock Bomb upset lvlUP in the second SWISS round!

Two more matches brought the second CS:GO SWISS round to an end. GODZ1337 will now fight for survival, while Shock Bomb secured an upset and advanced to the 2-0 pool.

The first match of this playday saw the new Macedonian squad, GODZ1337 face off against EAGLES, who were playing the League as MiKS up to this playday. The Kosovar team started Inferno with a quick 5-0 lead, but Kristijan “kiLLeRa” Kukovski earned the first point for his team after a great 3k hold on the CT side. The teams were suddenly neck to neck at 6-6 and GODZ managed to close out the half with a 8-7 scoreline. GODZ1337 proceeded to lose a 15-11 lead and take the game into overtime. EAGLES were able to take four rounds in the first overtime and secure a 1-0 lead in the BO3 series.

After a great 7-2 start for the Macedonians, EAGLES came back and managed to win 6 rounds in the first half. GODZ however, quickly shut their opponents down and closed out the map 16-6. The BO3 headed into Dust2, and it was a bloodbath. The match was close until the very end, but a great B site defense secured the Kosovars the 15th round and let them secure overtime. Even though Blaže “HEv1x” Hristov was playing like a beast and got 38 kills, EAGLES won the BO3 and slipped into the 1-1 pool.

The absolute biggest upset in the past two seasons happened in the duel between Shock Bomb and lvlUP. lvlUP dominated the first map, Vertigo. Miloš “dEE” Marčeta and his team won 13 rounds on the CT side and quickly closed out the map with a 16-6 victory. What happened after Vertigo surprised everyone. The Click N Play 2020 champions, Shock Bomb, ended Dust2’s CT side with a 9-6 lead. The team’s great plan on the T side proved to work like a charm and they were a step closer to winning the BO3.

lvlUP won the first two rounds on Inferno, but Shock Bomb answered back with five. Ivan “pTKKK” Popov and his squad shocked everyone with a great T side half on Inferno. After a 9-6 lead, they managed to win three more rounds, but lvlUP tried to catch up to them. They were really close to bringing the map in their favor, but Shock Bomb beat the champions after all. A 16-11 victory meant that lvlUP will be heading into the 1-1 pool, while Shock Bomb are going to be a part of the 2-0 part of the table.

amke2001 advances to the playoffs stage; Blue Whales manage to beat GG Gold

We are more than halfway through with the Brawl Stars qualifiers. FIFA closed out its second playoffs cup, and just like always, both games showed us the quality of the competitive scene in this region.

Brawl Stars

Over 20 teams signed up for the seventh Brawl Stars qualifier. As we are reaching the end of the qualifiers, the leaderboard is starting to form itself and some of the best names in the region are already up there. One of the things that surprised us the most in this qualifier was that finally, someone other than GG Red was able to take down Good Game’s Gold squad. The team that managed to pull this off were Blue Whales, and they did it in the quarterfinals.

Two newer names, Gamer squad and Ready To Win also reached the quarters with the latter advancing to the semifinals of the qualifier. Code Lyoko bested Ekipa 69 on the road to a match against GG Red, who had just won their match versus Taktika baklava. Blue Whales continued with their awesome form in the semifinal match against Ready To Win as well. Good Game Red breezed past Code Lyoko, and in the Grand Finals managed to avenge Good Game Gold against Blue Whales.

FIFA

Eight players once again faced off for a spot in the main playoffs stage of the League. The four players that managed to go past the SWISS stage were Robert “rob1” Persaj, Djordje “JasikFifa” Cumbo, Tarik “amke2001” Novo, and the reigning champion, Esad “esad1memic” Memić. Stevan Mačkić and PvtMole cast the most interesting playoffs matches and we had the chance to watch a couple of incredible FIFA games throughout the weekend.

The four players that advanced through the SWISS stage met each other in a single-elimination cup. amke2001 faced rob1, while esad1memic played against Jasik. esad1memic and rob1 were eliminated from the tournament after losses to Jasik and esad1memic, respectively. An amazing grand final saw amke2001 become the second grand finalist of the sixth A1 Adria League season. FIFA will be back with the last trio of qualifiers this Saturday, and in the meantime, esad1memic and brstimir can prepare for their opponents.

The second test coming up for GODZ1337 and lvlUP!

CS:GO’s A1 Adria League continued with two interesting matches that saw two Kosovar teams triumph without much difficulties.

Krško opened the second round with a match against eSportsKosova. After a good showing versus Good Game, Tilen “Grmek” Grmek and Krško were destroyed by one of the Kosovar teams in the League. The first half of Dust2 ended 13-2 in favor of Blend “v1w” Bunjaku’s team and the Slovenian-Croatian squad couldn’t win a single round in the second half. Krunoslav “Salted” Katalinić’s Krško weren’t any better on the second map, Inferno, and the team quickly secured a spot in the 0-2 pool. eSportsKosova will now be joining the 1-1 part of the League, together with Good Game.

Jane “aidKiT” Apostoloski’s Macedonian quintet lost the duel versus Blink. The match went to all three maps and after an initial win from Good Game, Blink turned the game around and secured yet another victory. Blink’s pick, Mirage, was a tight map that ended in a victory for Good Game. Both of the teams had really good plays, but in the end, three great plays from GG’s individuals won them the first map. Even though the first map promised a great BO3 series, Blink stomped their opponents in the next two maps. Ernest “xhoci” Xhoci was on fire and together with Genc “gxx-” Kolgeci they dominated the competition.

The second part of the second SWISS round will see two excellent matchups. GODZ1337 meets MiKS (EAGLES) in the first match of the day, and lvlUP will face Shock Bomb immediately after. Tune in and watch the biggest regional esports League on our Twitch channel!

CS:GO Standings 2p1

BCBG barely wins against the qualified Team KFC

Clash Royale jumped into its fifth round of this season’s group stage. Even though the standings pretty much remained the same, we witnessed one of the most amazing matches of the season. The leaders stayed undefeated although they could’ve had easily been beaten.

The first match of the day was between Crushers Esports and Flayn eSports. Crushers still had two players in their team so the latter ones didn’t break a sweat and won the 2v2 with ease. Since Crushers couldn’t play the third set Flayn were declared winners after they won the first one.

Next up were Tribe Academy and Totem Esports. Totem was able to take a lead in 2v2 set, but soon enough Tribe caught up with them and overturned the result in their favor. KotH pretty much was one-sided with Tribe’s TRB Prcko showing his top-quality skills, which sealed the match for him and his team.

Without a doubt, the biggest match of the day was produced by BCBG Esports and Team KFC. All three sets were played with BCBG’s win streak being on the line. The group leaders managed to swiftly win the 2v2 set. Things were different in KotH where Team KFC took the win and in the 1v1 90hp stood between them doing the biggest upset of the current season. In the end, BCBG won the match and their win streak remained untouched.

arminho, Good Game Red claim victories!

After being delayed during the previous week, Brawl Stars was here once again and the seventh qualifier was played out. FIFA finished the second trio of qualifiers, and the second playoffs tournament will start soon.

Brawl Stars

Even after skipping a week, things didn’t change much in Brawl Stars. The Good Game squads once again reached the semifinals and the Red team won the qualifier. Going back to the quarterfinals, Ekipa 69 fell short to Good Game Red, while Zabranjeni lost to the other Good Game team, Gold. Code Lyoko and LovciNaZMajeve, two interesting names that have been playing good during the recent qualifiers faced each other in the quarters. In the end, Code Lyoko bested their opponents and secured one of the four semifinal spots.

Alpha Predators met FA Deadly in the last match of the quarterfinals. The latter managed to slip past the Predators and proceed to the semis. Just like in any other qualifiers, the Good Game teams were destined to meet each other. This time, it happened in the semifinals and the second-placed team, Red, managed to beat the current standings leaders, Good Game Gold.

FIFA

This weekend, we will not be hosting a FIFA qualifier. Instead, the best eight players from the previous qualifiers will once again be a part of the playoffs that will decide which player will advance to the LAN finals. arminho0307 secured the first semifinal spot after he managed to beat mhad10h, while Persunipzs outplayed RUR rob1. HarunNedim1921 and DziDziAnlaki met each other in the quarters, with the Bosnian coming out on top.

The last QF match saw Stojanov1999 and amke2001 clash. Heading into the match, amke was considered the favorite, but Stojanov managed to upset him and proceed to face Harun in the semis. Persunipzs was in great form, but even that wasn’t enough and he couldn’t get past arminho. Stojanov surprisingly advanced to the grand finals, while his opponent, HarunNedim headed into the third-place decider. arminho had a rough start in this trio of qualifiers but won the third edition after all. This week we will see who is the next player to join brstimir in the main FIFA playoffs.

BCBG Esports extend their lead

The fourth round of Clash Royale’s group stage came to an end. No surprises happened, all of the favorites respectively won their matches. The race for the top spot continues to be one-sided, while others maintain their eagerness to catch up with the leader.

Crushers Esports and Totem Esports were the first ones to set foot on Clash Royale’s battlefield. After last week’s disqualification, Crushers were left with only two players for the fourth round – Oresti and Anthony_16. Even though they gave everything in their power to try and win it, Totem didn’t let their guard down and won the match.

Next up were BCBG Esports and Tribe Academy. BCBG won 2v2 faster than it was expected. Tribe took the lead in KotH, but then BCBG’s ConeKorleone appeared on the stage and showed everyone how good of a player he is. He managed to win the next three games and secured him and his team their fourth win in a row.

The last match of the day was played between Team KFC and Flayn eSports. Flayn were clear favorites, given the position from which they came into this round. They showed exactly why they are where they are with a clear win in the 2v2 set and later in KotH.

The reigning champion triumphs in the second FIFA qualifier!

Unfortunately, Brawl Stars’ qualifier was rescheduled because of an in-game patch that could have caused server instability. We decided that it would be best for the teams to have the qualifier played at another date in order to avoid problems that would hurt the integrity of the matches.

JasikFifa and Vukovarac999 faced each other in the Round of 16 of the second trio of FIFA qualifiers. The former was able to beat the Croatian player and secure a match versus Harun in the quarters. Even though Harun was able to eliminate arminho from the qualifier, he wasn’t good enough in the quarterfinals and Jasik bested him. rob1 and HRVoje-95 were a part of the quarterfinals after wins versus Hardi and mickey_rrrox, respectively. This quarterfinal match ended in favor of rob1 who once again showed how good of a player he is.

The second half of the Ro16 matches saw two Bosnian and two Croatian players advance to the quarterfinals. Mrky2402 and DziDziAnlaki played against one another for a spot in the semis and in the end, DziDziAnlaki outplayed his countryman. The winner of the previous qualifier, amke2001, and the current A1 Adria League champion, esad1memic, played in the last quarterfinals match. esad1memic managed to slip past amke2001 and get a step closer to winning a FIFA qualifier.

DziDziAnlaki and esad1memic met each other in the second semifinal match. esad1memic’s experience reigned supreme in the match and secured one of the two Grand Final spots. JasikFifa and RUR rob1 played a great semifinal, but in the end, rob1 proceeded to the finals. The finals ended in favor of the current League champion, while JasikFifa outplayed DziDziAnlaki in the third-place decider.

A1 Adria League S6 - FIFA Standings 2-2

Good Game and Blink get their first wins!

The CS:GO group stage has finally begun. Eight teams will be facing each other in a SWISS league that will determine the four playoffs participants. Last Sunday we had the chance to see the first two matches of the new season.

In the first match of the League, we saw a Kosovar duel between Blink and eSportsKosova. Sener “SENER1” Mahmuti’s team were considered favorites for this matchup, and they didn’t disappoint. Blink took 8 rounds on Train before eSportsKosova managed to strike back. The half ended with a 13-2 lead for the season 5 runner-ups, and they even won the pistol round after an amazing clutch from Genc “gxx-” Kolgeci. In the end, Blink closed out their map pick with a 16-6 victory.

The BO3 headed into Dust2. eSportsKosova showed some resistance at the beginning, but as the match progressed, their opponents overcame Arlind “deb0” Sadiku’s side. Most of the viewers expected a 2-0 win for Blink, and that is exactly what happened. The best Kosovar team kept their great form during the second half and won Dust2 without any difficulties (16-4).

The second match of the day saw the Macedonians from Good Game face Jan “jkXy” Konečnik’s Krsko. We witnessed a very close first half of Nuke. Good Game’s CT side ended with an 8-7 lead, but in the second part of the map, we saw an excellent T side from Damjan “kyxsan” Stoilkovski and the rest of the squad. The Macedonian lost only one round in the second half and Kristijan “KiKOtB” Stojmanovski calmly won the last round with a 1v2 clutch.

Krsko took the lead in their hands during Dust2. After an initial Good Game lead, the Croatian-Slovenian squad came back and closed out the half with an 8-7 lead. As the map was nearing its end, the teams were playing much better and they couldn’t get a string of two rounds in a row. However, Jane”aidKiT” Apostoloski and Good Game didn’t let the map reach overtime and ended the day with a close 16-13 victory.

The second part of this round is continuing today. We will see a clash between the current champions lvlUP and MiKS, while later on, Shock Bomb and GODZ1337 will try to get their first win of this season.

A1 Adria League S5 - CS:GO Standings 1

BCBG Esports continue their win streak

Clash Royale headed into its third group stage round. After the first two rounds, Flayn eSports and BCBG Esports (ex Recast Gaming) were comfortably sitting at the top with two wins each. The third Clash Royale week brought us a clash of the titans, a one-sided match, and one in which the win was gifted.

The first match of the day was between Team KFC and Totem Esports. The game showed us how superior Totem was against KFC. Totem won 2v2 without breaking a sweat and in KotH only SharkG could give a little bit of hope to his team, but that wasn’t enough. Totem went home with a full prize and got their first win in the group stage.

Flayn eSports and BCBG Esports gave us quite a spectacle. The match was intense and even in some parts, but BCBG edged out Flayn in the 2v2 set. In KotH, BCBG took a two-point lead at the start and it seemed like the match was going to be over pretty quickly. However, Flayn’s Beast had something to say and he managed to make some good plays, which got him and his team back on their feet. In the end, it wasn’t enough because Neki Lik secured a win for BCBG Esports – their third in a row.

Crushers Esports and Tribe Academy were scheduled to play in a third match of the day. They never got to play because Crushers were disqualified and Tribe was given a free win.

brstimir, FIFA: “When I was losing 0-3 I wanted to forfeit the match”

Miloš “brstimir” Majdevac is the first FIFA player to secure a spot in the LAN finals. He showed a great form throughout the entire season and earned his place fair and square. After an exhausting final against amke2001 in our first playoffs tournament, the Serbian player kindly accepted our invitation to do an interview.

After winning the first two qualifiers, your luck ran out in the third one. Did you slow down a bit, knowing you’ve already secured a spot in the playoffs?

I always give my maximum in every match at any competition. I won the first two qualifiers and got a spot in the playoffs, but luck wasn’t on my side and I failed to reach the final for the third time in a row by ending up in third place.

An intense final match between you and amke2001 made everyone bite their nails. What went through your head when you were losing 0-3 before you made a comeback?

When I was losing 0-3 I paused the game and the only thing that came to my mind was to forfeit the match and leave. However, I decided to stay and try something new with my tactics, which helped me in the end, and I managed to turn the odds in my favor.

Your form is picking up in this season of A1 Adria League as opposed to the last season, which can be seen by your current standing. How much off-season preparations contributed to where you are now?

I think that me being in Greece had a big impact on the way I played in season five. Mostly because my Internet connection wasn’t the best.

You’re the first player who secured a spot at the upcoming LAN event. What will you do now before it starts?

First, I want to take a break from this FIFA season and then turn my focus on university until the next FIFA season starts.

Did any of your rival players surprise you, whether negatively or positively?

I don’t want to mention anyone in particular, everybody played great in season 5 and did the same in this season. They established themselves as serious competitors.

Who do you predict will join you in the LAN finals?

I think that esad1memic or amke2001 will win the next playoffs because, in my opinion, those two have more quality than anyone else.

Considering that everybody is affected by the coronavirus pandemic, are you happy with the organization of a competition?

Given the limited options, the organization is really well managed and I hope that pandemic won’t stop us to come to the LAN event in Zagreb.
