4glory demolish ghoulsW; BLINK takes another win!

Only a couple of days after the first round in the CS:GO group stage, we already have teams fighting in the next one. The second round of the A1 Adria League was an interesting one. The favorites justified their role and secured their well-deserved victories making their way to the playoffs. Slow and steady, but surely. BLINK and BLUEJAYS are so far the best-positioned teams with two wins.

BLINK and BLUEJAYS defeatless

The second CS:GO round was opened on Inferno with the duel between XTEAM and BLUEJAYS, one of the top favorites for winning the tournament. XTEAM had a great start, which was surprising seeing who they were against and the fact they are the second-worst seed. They managed to win the first seven rounds, and it looked like they would dominate the rest of the game and make a big upset on BLUEJAYS. However, the Macedonian squad got back in the game and took this win for themselves.

BLINK, the team that was one of the first to secure their spot in the group stage via qualifiers, secured their second win of the tournament. They were playing against Zero Tenacity on Inferno. Even though BLINK had a great start, Z10 managed to even the score out to 11:11 and for a second it looked like they were gonna reverse the game to their advantage. However, BLINK kept their cool and ended up winning the five remaining rounds, ending the game with a 16:11.

The third match of the day was between 4glory and ghoulsW, this time on Ancient. The clear favorites of this game were 4glory which made a statement tonight. They dominated their opponent, didn’t give them a single round, and finished the match with a 16:0 score. After a shaky start last week, where they lost to XTEAM, 4glory is showing they are still the strongest seed and huge favorites for winning the championship.

The last match of the day was clear domination from team Oto100. Again on Inferno, they easily defeated their opponent Monad eSport. Monad had a really bad performance today, they had only one member of the team who had a positive K/D, and it was ROGA with 21 kills and 15 deaths. In the end, Oto100 deserved this win which they ended with a 16:7 result.

Next two CS:GO playdays are going to be a part of round 3 in the group stage. After which we will get the first team that will advance to the playoffs and one that will be eliminated. The next matches are scheduled for May 15th.

XTEAM upset 4glory; Great start for BLUEJAYS!

The first matches of the CS:GO group stage in the A1 Adria League are over. We have seen the best eight teams take on each other. Even though it’s still the first round, every win counts, and it is better to get those leads early in the stages, seeing the competition is fierce this year. BLUEJAYS were one of the teams that showed their dominance right at the start of the competition.

Different starts for 4glory and BLUEJAYS

The first matches of the group stage were really intense, and after just one playday we have seen some surprises. All matches were Bo1 today so there was no place for mistakes that could easily be punished.

The first match of the day between the invited team BLUEJAYS and the qualified ghoulsW was played off-stream. Both teams had a chance to show their skill on Inferno, but as was expected the Macedonian squad came out victorious. It was a clear stomp for BLUEJAYS who ended up the match with a 16:2 score for which they needed only 25 minutes. BJ means business and they showed it already in the first match of the group stage. This squad is a familiar name in the region and A1AL. They have been playing in the league for many seasons now and are at the moment number 47 on the HLTV ranking of best CS:GO teams.

The second match went into the hands of Zero Tenacity who managed to defeat Strive in chaos, now Monad eSport. The map was once again Inferno and Z10 bested their opponents with a 16:9 score. Monad signed the defeated roster of this matchup and they are now playing under their name. Great things are expected from this team, and they will have more chances to show that.

The biggest surprise of the day happened in the match between the second invited team of the season 4glory, and the qualified XTEAM. The Serbian squad as the first seed took on XTEAM which was an eighth-seeded team. It was XTEAM who managed to defeat 4glory, and it was an easy win for them. Even though the score on Vertigo was 16:11 the skill they showed deserved an even better score. As the match was coming to an end 4glory woke up, but it still wasn’t enough.

The last match saw the favorite come on top. It was Blink who defeated Oto100 with a 16:7 score on Mirage. Blink was one of the first teams that secured their spot in the group stage of the ninth season, and they are showing it.

The next matches will be played on May 11th, and seeing how today went, from here on out we can only expect even fiercer battles.

Bakistuta: I expect 4glory and BLUEJAYS in the finals

The group stage in CS:GO of A1 Adria League is just around the corner. We will be able to enjoy the best eight teams in the region competing for the title and the prize. But before the start of the league, we talked with a CS:GO caster Bakistuta about his expectations of the upcoming CS:GO competition, new season, qualified teams, and many others.

The qualifiers of A1AL S9 are completed. Which teams that qualified for the league were the biggest surprise?

I didn’t see many surprises in the qualifiers, we have seen all of these teams many times in recent years, but if I have to single out one team it would be ghoulsW with one of my favorite players desire and FURIA. They had many obstacles in the qualifiers, and after their victory over ELITE they completely deserved the spot in the league. I would also like to mention another surprise, this time negative because I don’t see Marten Rising between the qualified teams. I know they have the quality to be alongside the best teams, and when a team has Muffy and Ruda, I only have the highest expectations.

What is your opinion on the power ratio between the two invited teams BLUEJAYS and 4glory and the qualified ones?

The fact that these two teams are the invited ones speaks for itself about their form and reputation. We have great teams who managed to qualify, but my head and my heart tell me that BLUEJAYS and 4glory are one step above the others. 4glory at the moment has one of the best Serbian rosters ever, and when your manager is Dejan “BAX” Atanackovic only the sky is the limit. I don’t want to waste many words on the Macedonian squad BLUEJAYS, their results speak for themselves. Great guys, fantastic skill. Aside from this league, I predict them even bigger success than what they have achieved so far.

What do you think about who will we see in the finals this year?

If the bracket allows it, I expect 4glory and BLUEJAYS in the finals. Both teams strive to become the champions, so anything less than a final for them would be a serious fiasco.

This season we are witnessing a lot of great individuals, who would you single out as ones that are worth paying attention to?

Everyone from 4glory and BLUEJAYS fit this category, it’s pointless naming them all. Besides them, there are old school players like Neno, pure class, to the young talents such as Depreshn and Katalic. I have to admit I recently have been watching a lot of Maki from Strive in chaos. When you take down a team like Fnatic, that speaks a lot about your game. And another man I have to mention, who isn’t a player but the coach, heart, and brain of the team Zero Tenacity, Untouched. Under his leadership, experience, and directive you can win against everyone.

How strong is this season’s competition compared to the previous one?

Every year the stage is improving more and more, new players are showing up, and blowing us away with their moves. Alongside the new players, the ones who have been there for years are becoming even more experienced and better throughout the practice and time. So every new season is better than the previous one.

Only the decider matches in the SWISS phase will be Bo3, unlike before when all the matches were in this format. Do you think that the change in format will have an impact on the final score?

I’m glad you asked this because often it happens that these kinds of changes go unnoticed. It’s a huge difference when you play Bo1 and Bo3 matches. Anyone who follows any kind of competitive game will agree that it’s much easier to upset and win against a favorite on one map rather than three. For sure this will bring a chance for us to see many surprises.

What are you looking forward to the most this season? 

I am looking forward to good broadcasts, many fantastic plays from our Balkanian maestros, and the enormous amount of quality content, as well as in CS:GO as in other games.

Zero Tenacity and ghoulsW made it to the group stage!

All the qualifiers for CS:GO are completed, and there are no more chances to secure the group stage in this season’s A1 Adria League. The third qualifier was a swift one, compared to the others. We have seen more than 20 teams fight for the remaining two spots in the league and the teams that came on top were Zero Tenacity and ghoulsW.

Z10 and ghoulsW secured the last two spots

After two qualifiers Zero Tenacity and ghoulsW failed to qualify for the group stage. It was clear that the battle will be fierce today seeing there was only one chance and two spots left. Both these teams were close in the previous qualifiers but there was always something missing. Today they have finally secured their spots and it was deserved. In the top side of the bracket, it was Zero Tenacity who dominated, not losing a single game today. This team came into today’s qualifier with a new signing, it was Katalic who helped the team enter the league.

GhoulsW did the same on the other side of the bracket. They managed to beat many great teams, and one of them was MONAD eSports which in the end didn’t make the cut. Another well-known team, that wasn’t good enough to qualify was Marten Rising. They were eliminated in the second round.

There were three CS:GO qualifiers overall, and one by one the eight spots in the group stage of A1AL got filled. First to secure this was BLINK and XTEAM who beat everyone in the first qualifier. The second qualifier went into the hands of Strive in chaos and bitboxks or Oto100. Including the two invited teams 4glory and BLUEJAYS and the winners from today, we have the top eight who will enter and compete in our A1 Adria League for the title and the prize, as well as the right to call themselves the best regional CS:GO team.

The SWISS group stage starts on May 8th. The best four teams from this stage will advance to the finals, while we will say goodbye to the other half.

The second CS:GO qualifier goes to Strive in chaos and bitboxks!

The second CS:GO qualifier is finished. We have seen many familiar teams again, some took their second chance to advance to the group stage of the A1 Adria League seriously, while others failed to qualify again. The best two teams from this qualifier are bitboxks and Strive in chaos who will now join the winner from the last week’s competition team BLINK and XTEAM.

Strive in chaos and bitboxks made the cut

Many great regional teams qualified for the second CS:GO qualifier. Again many familiar names such as Zero Tenacity, Marten Rising, MONAD eSports which we have seen last week as well. They are one of the most familiar and best teams in the region, but they yet again didn’t live up to the expectations and failed to qualify today. However, these teams will have one more chance to enter the A1 Adria League this season.

We have also seen team ghoulsW who were again close to the finish line. They lost in the quarterfinals. The other interesting team in this qualifier was Aftermath NXT, the team of the well-known owner of Relog Media, Mladen Juric. His team did an amazing work today, but they were unsuccessful in the Bo3 semifinals where they lost to Strive in chaos with a 2:0 score.

The teams that qualified for the group stage of the League today Strive in chaos and bitboxks had a great run, going defeatless in the second qualifier. Many players from these two teams are very well-known in the region and our own A1 Adria League. Some like Maki and jkxy even made it to the finals in some of the previous seasons, except they didn’t play in the same team at the time.

Strive in chaos and bitboxks will now join BLINK and XTEAM as well as the two invited teams 4gLory and BLUEJAYS. There are 2 more spots in the group stage of A1AL, so don’t waste any time and sign up for the third and last qualifier HERE. It will be held next week, April 24th.

 

Stream the A1 Adria League CS:GO qualifiers on your channel!

There are two CS:GO qualifiers left for the ninth season of the A1 Adria League and now you can stream them to your fans! After BLINK and XTEAM secured their spot in the group stage there are two qualifiers left. We are looking for four more teams to join the battle for 5000€!

How to stream A1 Adria League CS:GO qualifiers?

Qualifiers for CS:GO will be played on the 17th and 24th of April.  If you want to stream the qualifiers make sure to follow these steps:

  1. Fill out the contact form for the community stream. You will need to provide only your Discord handle, email, and link to your stream.

  2. Follow important rules:
    – No rights of third parties are violated (these include copyrights, trademark rights, etc.)
    – No content is shown that is racist, homophobic, defamatory, obscene, libelous, or glorifies violence
    – No applicable laws are violated (especially criminal law and youth protection)
    – No advertising for the following products or services is actively integrated: nicotine, alcohol, cannabis, and other addictive substances party politics, especially election advertising, pornography gambling, lotteries, casino, poker, sports betting, or comparable item or in-game currency trading outside of first-party platforms or official offerings online key sales, insofar as these do not involve licensed dealers automated pop-ups, upon which the streamer exercises no influence, are principally permitted and are excluded from the criteria for exclusion listed above.
  3. Make sure you add this image to your stream and include A1 Adria League or A1AL Qualifiers to your title (example: A1AL S9 Qualifiers // A1AL S9 Qualifiers stream today!). The image found on the link above should be visible on stream at all times, like in this example. (besides while playing ads):
  4. After you are finished streaming the qualifiers, send the following to the email info@adria.gg: “hours streamed”, “average concurrent viewers”, and “peak concurrent viewers”. It should look something like this:
    1. hours streamed: 5
    2. average concurrent viewers: 10
    3. peak concurrent viewers: 15
  5. You all are done! Streaming will be enabled for all the participants of the A1 Adria League Season 9 qualifiers.
  6. Your information and stream stats will only be used to improve the League and they won’t be published publicly at any time or for any reason.
  7. If you give your permission we will include your stream in the promotion post to notify A1AL fans where they can watch the qualifiers.

BLINK and XTEAM first to secure group stage in A1 Adria League!

After a long Sunday, the first qualifier for CS:GO is over. We have seen almost 50 teams competing, but only the best two could advance to the group stage of our A1 Adria League. The first two teams that secured their spot in the regular season in CS:GO are BLINK and XTEAM.

The great return of BLINK

We have been the witnesses of yet another great start of the season in CS:GO. Many familiar faces, and a lot of new talented teams. In the very beginning two, well-known teams were very unlucky to meet each other in the first round. It was Zero Tenacity that was drafted versus BLINK. Zero Tenacity didn’t succeed in defeating their opponents and their journey ended even before it started. BLINK is a familiar team in A1 Adria League, even though they didn’t compete for a few previous seasons, when they did, they always showed great skill. The dominant force in the form of BLINK is back for the ninth season and they made a statement in the first qualifier.

BLINK defeated many teams today, as well as another well-known team in the region Martin Rising. They faced each other in the quarterfinals and BLINK came out victorious. In the Bo3 semifinals, they defeated Seychelles 2:1 and secured a spot in the group stage.

On the other side of the bracket, it was XTEAM that dominated. They had a long way to the finals and beat many familiar teams such as MONAD eSports which are also a very good regional CS:GO team. In the quarterfinals, they took down ghoulsW with the same result as BLINK, 2:1.

Gejmzilla on the side of XTEAM and gulito for BLINK did a great job today leading their teams to the group stage of A1AL.

4glory gets another shot at the A1 Adria League title!

The second invited team for the A1 Adria League Season 9 is 4glory Esports. After finishing the third last season, they will have a new chance to show that they are the best CS:GO team in the Adriatic region. It will be a difficult task but Luka “c0llins” Živanović and co. already showed they can play against the best.

A new chance 4glory

The Serbian roster has been surrounded by high expectations ever since they started playing for 4glory. Soon they became the force to be reckoned with in the Adriatic region. Players like Aleksa “Impulse” Stankić and Dimitrije “DiMKE” Veljković already had major success in the A1 Adria League and have won multiple titles in different rosters. Some of them while playing together.

Luka “c0llins” Živavnović is still putting out some impressive numbers. His 1.16 rating in the past three months is a testimony of his talent, as well as the talent of the roster around him. Altho they lost to BLUEJAYS in the RES Season 2 they claimed many respectable scalps lately as a team. Anonymo, Finest, GamerLegion are amongst the teams that 4glory outplayed in the best of three series. They are coming to win and they will do everything they can to achieve their goal.

BLUEJAYS to compete in the A1 Adria League Season 9!

One of the best CS:GO teams in the Adriatic region has accepted an invite for the ninth season of the A1 Adria League. Last season BLUEJAYS weren’t able to participate in the finals. They were busy winning the IESF World Championship in Eilat. Now, they will have a new chance to become the champions.

BLUEJAYS dominating the regional scene

North Macedonian lineup playing under the BLUEJAYS banner is currently ranked 37th best team in the world. The success didn’t come overnight. Aleksandar “CacaNito” Kjulukoski and the squad had some great results in the past months. Besides winning the IESF World Championship they secured 2nd place in the CCC Champions 2021 and Funspark ULTI 2021: European Playoffs #2. In the Pinnacle Winter Series #2 they finished 3rd/4th after losing to the Finnish powerhouse ENCE.

By beating 4glory Esports in the finals of RES Season 2 they managed to secure their spot in the TWR EEM Spring 2022, the qualifying tournament for the BLAST Spring EU Showdown. One look at their results is enough to realize why are BLUEJAYS one of the two invited teams for Season 9.

As the A1 Adria League is returning so is the oldest game in this tournament – CS:GO. The most popular FPS in the world is back with the ninth A1AL season. CS:GO has been our core game since the beginning of the league, and this year we are giving you another chance to start your CS:GO career and climb to the top.

Begin your CS:GO adventure

For the ninth time A1 Adria League is bringing CS:GO into your houses. The time has come to sign up for the qualifiers and test your luck on Inferno, Mirage, Nuke, and others. The qualifiers begin on April 10th when the battle for the best CS:GO regional team commences.

During the years we have seen many players and teams make a name for themselves while playing in A1 Adria League. You all remember Valiance&CO which was the champion in seasons one and two. The team was made out of one of the now best regional CS:GO players who went on and created such great careers. Hunter- and nexa both started their careers in A1AL and now they are playing for some of the most famous teams in the world, competing at the most prestigious CS:GO tournaments there are.

This year’s prize pool for CS:GO is 5,000€ while the best Adriatic team will be awarded 2,500€.

Unlike Brawl Stars and FIFA22, CS:GO will have three Qualifier cups where the top 2 teams from each qualifier will advance to the next stage making it 6 teams in total. Best teams from qualifications will be joined by the two invited teams. They will battle in SWISS group stage for 4 slots in the finals. In the finals, we will have the opportunity to see the best 4 regional CS:GO teams compete for the title in the single-elimination bracket. The matches are Bo1, apart from the decider matches which are going to be Bo3.
