Nikola: “I didn’t think at first that I would win the whole thing.”

Oh boy and what an end it was, we had an awesome playoff full of excitement and great matches, but like all good things, it had to come to an end. We are proud to announce the winners of the CR Season 3.

The first place was won by Nikola, the 2nd place was taken by his teammate Tocilovac, the third place was ConeKorleone and the 4th was taken by destroyer.

You can watch the whole playoff recap: >>Here<<

In order to get more insight about our champion we asked him some questions about what separated him from the rest and contributed to him winning the third season, enjoy!

1. What did you expect before the Playoffs? Did you think you would win the whole thing?

Nikola
: “I imagined that I would be somewhere at the top, but I didn’t think at first that I would win the whole thing.”

2. What do you think separated you from the rest of the players and made the most difference in your opinion?

Nikola
: “I do not think there are any major differences, they are all outstanding players. The main distinction, in my opinion, might have been, that I focused on what sort of decks they are playing and tried to counter them, which turned out to be the right choice.”

3. Now that you have proven that you are the best in the Adria region, what are the next goals?

Nikola
: “My next goals are first of all winning the A1 Adria in Zagreb and to be a part of some of the international leagues like the “Connect to Play” (CTP) and “Super Liga Orange” (SLO)”

4. You and Tocilovac seem to be always in the top of the tournaments you play in. Has it formed some sort of rivalry where you motivated each to be better or is it more a team effort where you help each other to become the best versions of yourselves?

Nikola
: “I see Tocilovac as a friend, rival, and a person that motivates me a lot. We train together quite frequently, which pushes us both to become the best versions of ourselves, so yeah all of the mentioned.”

5. Would you like to add something?

Nikola
: “I would like to thank everyone who supports me, my Qlash team and my coaches who also contribute quite a lot to my accomplishments.”

The first Month of open qualifiers is done, and we have our top 4 players from May!

The May qualifiers are over and the competition was fierce! Here is the breakdown of how it all went down.

In the first open qualifier ConeKorleone came out swinging and he won the first cup without dropping a single game, even winning in his first match against the last season Champion Sasaa! In the finals, he achieved a swift victory vs Master Sifu with a 3:0 score.

The second one started off pretty much the same with ConeKorleone destroying everyone on his path, however, Nikola managed to finally stop him and defeat him in the finals with the score of 3:2!

The third open cup of May hosted the most players so far and the fighting was hectic! Sasaa managed to climb up on top with a win in the finals vs Master Sifu, with a 3:2 score, while both of them managed to qualify for the playoff stage!

ConeKorleone, Master Sifu and Sasaa were competing for the first place in all of the 3 qualifiers, however, djumaisop performed admirably with reaching the semifinals twice and therefore qualify as well for the playoff stage

After all of the 3 open qualifiers, we have the top 4 players that have the honor of competing for the grand prize!

We would like to thank everyone for competing and would also like to invite you to the next open qualifiers which will be starting on June the 1st!

While waiting for our next open qualifier cup and the playoff stage you can also give your support to ConeKorleone who will be competing in the SEC Clash Royale Season 9 Playoff, 29 May 2019 18:00 CEST.

Official announcement of season 3 & 4

Fire it up! The League is finally back. This is what we have prepared for you this year.

The last season was a blast! We had a lot of great moments – Valiance&CO defended their title in CS:GO and became the first two times champions of A1 Adria League. ASUS ROG ELITE took their first in League of Legends. In two new games we introduced last season, we witnessed some epic matches but in the end Saša “Sasaa” Mišković lifted the trophy in Clash Royale after beating Dominik “Domi” Štokan and Luka “Vulee” Vulović has bested Luka “Lavvek” Černeli in Hearthstone grand finals.

New, bigger and better regional esports experience with more money for grabs

Now it’s time to look ahead and bring you new, bigger and better regional esports experience in 2019 with more prize pool money for grabs! And man, do we have a lot to talk about. Prepare for spoilers!

Two of the biggest changes this year are: Two seasons instead of one and different games in the League. Don’t worry, we are still keeping the number of four games for both seasons.

A1 Adria League will consist out of four games with main focus on PC titles Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2. Yeah, that’s right. We decided to replace League of Legends with Dota 2, one great MOBA with another one. Also, we are keeping the Clash Royale and we will introduce the second mobile game very, very soon. We came to a conclusion that two PC games and two mobile games are the right mix for us at this moment, so we decided not to change the number of games in the League, but give the opportunity to some other esports that are not getting that much recognition in our region.

Another big change is two seasons in a year instead of one. So in 2019, we will have the 3rd and the 4th season of A1 Adria League. The first will be played fully online during May and June and the second one will start in August after the summer break and it will have the full package including the big LAN finals at Reboot InfoGamer as you are used to by now. The overall prize pool for both season is 30.000 euros! Even more than the last year!

Our goal remains the same. Bringing the esports in the Adria region to a new level! We will try to achieve that by being the proving grounds for regional teams and talents by giving them the opportunity to experience esports and competition on a higher instance. First steps are always the hardest ones and because of that, we want to be your first step into professional esports!

Fire it up, the League returns!

Waiting is finally over and the new season of A1 Adria League is right around the corner.

This year we are going even bigger – with two competitive seasons that will include four games. Two for PC and two for mobile platforms but with slight changes from the past year. Prize pool for both seasons is 30.000 Еuro.

Season 3 starting this Spring will be played online without LAN finals as a prelude for the main season later this year. This means that players will have a chance to form new teams or make necessary changes in between the two seasons.

We hope that this way we can bring more stability to the regional esports scene. Both seasons will include open qualifiers, but more information about the qualifying process will be announced at the beginning of May as well as more details in general.

Two seasons, four games, one LAN final and 30.000 euros with open qualifiers so everyone gets a chance to participate! There is a long path between the qualifiers and the LAN finals. Path only the best can make it. So start preparing because we are ready. Are you?

Clash Royale Interviews

After sitting down and chatting with our Hearthstone finalists, it’s time to wrap it all up as we approach the LAN finals, and the best way to do so is to ask our Clash Royale finalists a couple of short questions about themselves, and the game that got them to the LAN.

We had a chat with Sasaa, Domi, TrueAlpha and Srbija, the players that secured their LAN spots in the recent playoffs. They are all pretty stoked to be here, and that comes as no surprise. Their plays in the buildup to the event made them all proud, and, as Sasaa tells us, he’s pretty happy with himself and the opportunity he had to secure the LAN spot relatively soon in this League.

TrueAlpha adds:

I’m extremely pleased with my success because September was the first month in which I tried to qualify and did it. Getting to the finals is great news both for me, my team Team Qlash and my clan SRG Royal Guard.

Still, when you start talking about Clash Royale and Esports in the same context, you’re bound to see a lot of angry faces. Our players tell us that the perspective on mobile esports is still not so favorable, and there’s a lot of people out there that don’t really understand mobile esports and then proceed to comment that they aren’t “real” esports, per se. Sasaa tells us that Clash Royale is the best mobile esport game in his opinion, because it’s as polished as they come and very well put together. TrueAlpha agrees:

Clash Royale has a lot of opportunity for tournaments and all sorts of different formats. There’s also the abundance of big tournaments and the fact that large organizations are getting into Clash Royale and investing in the game itself.

Srbija jokingly adds that the only people who complain about Clash Royale are the ones that simply throw down random cards and hope for the best.

Mobile esports as a topic is growing fast, with VainGlory, Arena of Valor and Clash Royale leading the pack. Our players tell us that there’s a chance that mobile esports are going to become as popular as “real” esports within a few years. Ease of access is the number one reason for that, of course.

The Clash Royale scene in the region is evolving as we speak, but the problem is that there’s a ton of good players with not enough tournaments to go around. That’s one of the reasons A1 Adria League started this tournament, and we hope that we’ll help the community grow as much as it can by bringing them a tournament they can truly enjoy.

A1 Adria League LAN Survival Guide

We’re slowly approaching the LAN finals, boys and girls. After months of competition in 4 different games, last online matches have been played and we’re all set to start looking towards the LAN finals that are being held next week. But we’re sure you have a lot of questions regarding how, where and what is going on, so we compiled this survival guide to help you, well, survive the LAN.

WHERE?

Well, first one up is pretty self-explanatory. All of the A1 Adria League LAN final matches will be held at this year’s edition of Reboot InfoGamer. One of Europe’s largest gaming conventions attracts more than 70,000 visitors every year, and the LAN will be held on a purpose-built stage in a special area inside of the InfoGamer grounds.

Reboot InfoGamer is being held at Zagrebački Velesajam in the New Zagreb area.

WHEN and WHAT?

The Reboot InfoGamer will be held from 21. to 25. of November. The LAN finals start at friday, with Clash Royale and Hearthstone being played on the first day of competition, followed by CS:GO on Saturday and the big LoL final on Sunday.

Friday

The Clash Royale players that are advancing to the LAN finals are SASA, TrueAlpha ,Srbija, and BrunoBlaze, and one of them is bound to go home with both the prize of €·1000 and the bragging rights. We’ll first be watching the two semi finals, after which the winners will advance to the winner bracket final. The losers will compete in their own final, after which we will have the final all set up.

The same format is reserved for Hearthstone, with PeraHS, Lavvek, Djuka93 and Vulee being the top 4 players that will be fighting for the grand prize in the LAN finals. The Hearthstone finals are set to start in the late afternoon, but you’ll be watching live from the beginning, right?

Saturday

Saturday is reserved for CS:GO, and the LAN finals of the extremely interesting part of the tournament. The first CS:GO semifinal will be played between Valiance&Co. and Locastic, and will start in the morning. The second semifinal, one between GamePub and KlikTech is set to start in the early afternoon and last up until 16:30. The big final match is set to start at 17:15 and is planned to be over a bit after 20:00. The third place decider match will be played off-stream at the same time as the grand final.

Note that we can’t affect the performance of the teams, so there is a possibility that the CS:GO finals end a couple hours earlier. As always, we’ll have all the info live on our social media channels.

Oh, and the winners go home with €10.000.

Sunday is for LoL and the wrap up of the season

The last day of competition will see the same format as CS:GO, but only for our League of Legends LAN finals. The show starts at 10:00 and the first match is scheduled to start soon after. KlikTech and x25 are opening the action in the first match of the day, followed by the second semifinal at 13:45 between Asus Rog Elite and Zagreb 360. The winners will secure the spot in the grand finals, and the losers get to fight for third place, but off stream.

The grand final will start shortly after 17:00 and will mark the official end of the second season of the A1 Adria League. We know it’s been quite a ride, and are itching to provide the best possible experience in the finals for you.

Of course, all of the games will be streamed live, and commentated by our very own commentary teams in each game. There’s also some surprises coming your way, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves, shall we?

Clashes of September

There ain’t a September without Clash Royale is what they say, right? Okay, maybe not but we’re here to inform you that the September challenges in the A1 Adria League are finished and we have the name of our advancing player, as well as the ones that were only just so close to advance themselves.

Clash Royale is slowly filling up and we’re left with just a few spots for the next round of qualifiers where we’ll knock out even more players to make sure only the best remain. If you’re into Clash and haven’t yet tried to get in the LEague – what are you still waiting for?

The last month saw ConeKorleone take the number one spot in the finals and slide past TrueAlpha2 and VuleVenom to get a few extra Euros in his pocket as well as the chance to advance to the LAN once all the spots are taken. ConeKorleone has proven to be a player to watch, and it was pretty clear even after qualifier #3 that he’s gonna go far. And he certainly delivered!

We’re now turning our attention towards the spooky October qualifiers, and the atmosphere is heating up immensely. Make sure you apply if you haven’t done so already because it’s point collecting time and every qualifier you miss might knock you out. Not to mention there’s only two more places left!

Apply for the October qualifiers now!

First month of Clash Royale ends

Our very first fully mobile game, Clash Royale proved to be a great hit among the regional players who took to their smartphones to see who’s the best mobile esport player in the region. This left us with some great games and a lot of excitement in the three match days in July.

After two “regular” weeks, we also had a “double points” week that shook things up just enough to leave everything undecided until the last moments of the last game in the finals. 313 players participated in the Clash Royale tournament altogether, and fought to see who will the best 8 players that earn their place in the monthly finals be.

In the end, those players were:

1 210 Domi 2 165 Aki 3 150 Dino CRO PRO 4 145 SRBIJA
5 140 Markoni 6 135 Sasaa 7 123 ConeKorleone 8 110 Dojca

The overall victory went to Sasaa, and he will get the opportunity to advance to the next tier of the tournament, along with Domi who lost the final match, but will nevertheless advance to the next stage. The third place went to ConeKorleone, who will take home 50 EUR and can still compete next month, which is not that bad.

When it comes to Clash Royale, we’ve seen a large number of players and must emphasize again that we’re pleased that the players recognized this mobile game as a way to start off their esport career. We still have 3 more months of competition left, so make sure you apply right away for the next cups!

Will you be the one joining Sasaa and Domi in the LAN finals? Apply now and show us what you’ve got!
