Two two-hour periods of the Reboot Online Games Week will be dedicated to watching live streams of regional esport personalities.

On Friday, it will be Vojislav “SupremeNexus” Perić who will be a part of the Reboot Online Games Week. A1 Adria League playoffs to be a part of Reboot Online Games Week!

The second A1 Adria League season of 2021 is a week away from the final matches that will decide our new champions. Here is a short recap of the season so far.

Three SWISS stages completed; LoL ready for its final matches

Over the course of the past months, A1 Adria League was once again the battleground of four titles: CS:GO, League of Legends, Brawl Stars and FIFA. A huge number of players from every single country in the region signed up to play and compete in their game of choice. A qualifying stage was followed by a SWISS group in three of the four games, excluding League of Legends. Last week those SWISS group concluded, and we now know all of the playoffs participants.

Brawl Stars was Salada de Frutas’ playground during the entirety of the SWISS stage. In only three rounds, they managed to continue the winning streak the team had in the qualifiers and advance to the playoffs with ease. Right after them, three Brawl Stars squads followed them in the playoffs. Winx Club and Omert4 did so with a 3-1 record, while Lightning Strike qualified in the last round. Miloš “brstimir” Majdevac, Esad “esad1memic” Memić, Haris “edenn95” Lukomirak and Tarik “amke2001” Novo were the fastest to adapt to the new FIFA edition and clinch the top 4 spots in the eight season of FIFA.

Moving to CS:GO, the team that debuted in the league, iNation, was also the team that had a perfect run. We will watch three teams that were a part of the final stage in the previous season as well. Namely, the two Macedonian teams, PORTUGAL and BLUEJAYS,  and 4glory are going to make an appearance in our upcoming single-elimination bracket. Finally, League of Legends is nearing the end of the playoffs bracket. Metamoon, Harmony and 49%winrate are left to play out the remainder of the season.

4glory to play in the playoffs after defeating Marten!

With a 2-0 win against Marten Gaming, 4glory have clinched the last CS:GO playoffs spot for the season.

Finally, after Brawl Stars and FIFA, it was CS:GO’s time to complete the playoffs’ participants list. In the final duel of this regular season, 4glory met Marten Esports. After they missed their chance to qualify in Round 4, the Serbian powerhouse had another go today. They showed that they learned from their mistakes and were much better in Round 5. Nemanja “sarenii” Šarenac’s team crushed Marten on Marten’s map pick, Dust2 (16:7). Inferno was even worse for the Bosnian squad as they managed to score only six rounds before falling short to the in-form 4glory quintet (4glory 16:6 Marten).

With this game coming to an end, we know the four playoffs teams: iNation, BLUEJAYS, PORTUGAL, and 4glory. Three of these four teams also competed in the previous season’s playoffs, which only proves that the region has a number of constant teams that keep together for a longer time. The only new team to join the playoffs’ list this season is iNation.

49% winrate are the first lower-bracket finalists!

A playday dedicated to the lower-bracket saw 49% winrate outplay Vinland and Clouded Leopards and advance to the lower finals.

While the League of Legends scene was focused on the Worlds 2021 finals where EDward Gaming defeated DAMWON, the regional teams had a great day as well. Clouded Leopards faced Fantastic Esports in one of the two lower-bracket quarterfinals. Our viewers had the chance to watch three action-packed matches in which Clouded Leopards proved to be the dominant side and eliminated their opponents from the tournament.

Off-stream, 49% winrate and Vinland Esports played the second match of this round. As 49% winrate was far better than the latter team today, the match concluded after only two games. The team then went on to challenge Clouded Leopards in the next match. Once again, they impressed everyone and smashed CL 2-0 to finally reach the lower-bracket finals. There, the loser of the match between Metamoon and Harmony will be their next opponent.

amke2001 survives the final FIFA round!

The reigning champion, Tarik “amke2001” Novo triumphed in the last match of this FIFA group stage.

Following in the steps of Brawl Stars, FIFA had the same task today. Only one remaining spot and two players in contention. These two players were amke2001 and Harun “Hara” Parla, a matchup that made this duel a Bosnian derby as well. Our back-to-back winner had a bad start in the season but slowly started climbing up the leaderboard. After five long and exhausting rounds for amke2001, he managed to complete the comeback and become the fourth playoffs competitor alongside Miloš “brstimir” Majdevac, Haris “edenn95” Lukomirak and Esad “esad1memic” Memić.

Two of the three titles of this A1 Adria League season that featured a SWISS format are now ready for the playoffs. CS:GO will join FIFA and Brawl Stars after its fifth round comes to an end this Sunday. In the meantime, these are the final SWISS FIFA rankings:

FIFA Standings

Lightning Strike advance to the Brawl Stars playoffs over Mayoi!

In the very last Brawl Stars SWISS of this A1 Adria League season, Lightning Strike clinched the final playoffs spot.

The final matchup was played out to decide which team would join Salada de Frutas, Omert4, and Winx Club in this season’s double-elimination playoffs bracket. The two teams that faced each other were Mayoi and Lightning Strike. As fitting for such an important match, both teams showed up and gave it their all today. Both Lightning Strike and Mayoi went back and forth in the first four modes and it all came down to the final mode, Factory Rush. There, Lightning Strike excelled and managed to eliminate Mayoi.

A great SWISS season is now behind us. Some teams impressed, some a bit less so. In the end, the four very best will be a part of this season’s playoffs. These are the final Brawl Stars standings after the conclusion of the SWISS stage:

amke2001: “esad1memic played very well this season”

Despite the player having a busy schedule, we managed to catch up with Tarik “amke2001” Novo and do a short interview before the beginning of the fourth round. As he proved himself right and defeated Đorđe “JasikFifa” Cumbo in his last match, he survived to compete in the final round as well. Here is what the Bosnian FIFA star revealed for our portal:

How did the qualifiers for this season go? Did you notice any new players that played really well druing this stage?

From my point of view, Esad1memic played very well this season, his performance deserves to be mentioned.

Has the transition to FIFA22 been smooth for you? Are there any bigger differences compared to the previous game?

My progress this season is very good (2000 skill rating elite division) despite not having any FIFA points at the start of the game.

What were the things that brstimir did better than you in the second round?

Brstimir had a better team, that is the only reason he won that duel.

While brstimir and you are fierce rivals, your loss versus edenn95 came as a surprise to a lot of viewers. What made you lose this game in the third round?

edenn95 is a good player and it wasn’t surprising to me. It was a 50/50 match which could go in any direction.

Your next opponent is JasikFifa. What are your expectations for the match?

Against JasikFifa only victory comes into play for me.

Which four players do you think will make it through to the playoffs?

Top 4 players in my opinion: Brstimir, esad1memic, Hara and me.

This week in A1AL: The end of the SWISS stage!

The final playoffs competitors for three games will be known after this week comes to an end, as it is time for the fifth SWISS round!

Brawl Stars

In the fourth Brawl Stars round, two more teams advanced to the playoffs. Namely, besides Salada de Frutas, we will also watch Omert4 and Winx Club compete in the final stage of the season. In the meantime, Dominjo Carry and Balkan Talents were eliminated, which left Lightning Strike and Mayoi as the only remaining teams on the leaderboard. Their match will be played this Thursday and the winner will secure the final playoffs spot.

Mayoi vs. Lightning Strike

FIFA

The situation in FIFA is exactly the same. Esad “esad1memic” Memić and Haris “edenn95” Lukomirak joined Miloš “brstimir” Majdevac on the top of the leaderboard. The two players that will clash spears in the final rounds will be Harun “Hara” Parla, and last season’s winner, Tarik “amke2001” Novo. What do you think, which player will become the fourth semifinalist of this A1 Adria League season?

Hara vs. amke2001

League of Legends

As League of Legends’ season doesn’t feature a SWISS format, there won’t be a fifth round to finish. Instead, we will be continuing our double-elimination bracket with six teams remaining. Last week, Banished Esports and Lupus Esports left the tournament. These are the matches for our upcoming playday:

Metamoon vs. Harmony
Clouded Leopards vs. Fantastic Esports
49% winrate vs. Vinland Esports

CS:GO

After a great last weekend for the region, where three regional teams placed in the top 4 positions of CEE Champions, our last two teams are ready to conclude the SWISS stage. 4glory and Marten Gaming will play the deciding BO3. The winner will qualify to the final stage along with iNation, PORTUGAL and BLUEJAYS, while the loser will join JESTE, SKUAK and Zero Tenacity in the eliminated half of the leaderboard.

rs 4glory vs. Marten Gaming

BLUEJAYS outplay 4glory off-stream; JESTE are eliminated!

In the final matches of Round 4, Marten defeated JESTE, while 4glory fell short to a great BLUEJAYS roster.

This was the second time BLUEJAYS and 4glory played each other in two days. Yesterday, it was a part of the CEE Champions 2021 single-elimination bracket. CEE Champions is also the reason their A1 Adria League match today was played off-stream as the Serbian team had a third-place decider to play at 17:00. And just like yesterday, BLUEJAYS once again triumphed at the expense of 4glory. This time, they did it in two maps. Mirage ended with a final scoreline of 16:10, while on Nuke, 4glory managed to win one more round (16:11). BLUEJAYS are now a part of the playoffs, while 4glory will participate in the fifth SWISS round as well.

The second match, however, was streamed on our official channels and it saw JESTE challenge Marten Gaming. Because both teams were in the 1-2 pool, this was an elimination match. Marten had an easy time against their opponents and they closed of the BO3 in two maps. Mirage ended with a 16-12 scoreline, while Ancient was even more one-sided. This time, Marten closed out the day by winning 16-6 and thus eliminating JESTE from further competition.
