Valorant

VALORANT is a tactical first-person shooter developed and published by Riot Games, released in 2020. The game combines precise gunplay inspired by classic tactical shooters with unique character abilities known as Agents, each offering distinct skills that influence strategy and team composition. Played in a 5v5 format, VALORANT emphasizes teamwork, communication, and tactical decision-making, with rounds often decided by positioning, utility usage, and mechanical accuracy.

A1 ADRIA LEAGUE

VALORANT was introduced to the A1 Adria League in Season 9, marking the league’s expansion into Riot Games’ tactical FPS. In its debut season, Balkan Stars claimed the first title after a strong playoff run, setting the tone for future competitions.

Season 10 saw the rise of Grandmas Gambit, who secured the championship in dominant fashion, going undefeated throughout the playoffs and establishing themselves as the team to beat.

In Season 11, Wintermint lifted the trophy, closing out VALORANT’s run in the A1 Adria League and confirming the title’s competitive impact during its time in the league.

A1 STUDENT eCHALLENGE – S7 & S8

VALORANT will make its debut in the A1 Student eChallenge in 2026, bringing a new layer of tactical and ability-based gameplay to the student competition. Known for its fast pace and strategic depth, the game challenges players to combine sharp aim with coordinated team play and smart use of agents.

As a new addition to A1SeC, VALORANT opens the door for student teams to compete in one of the most popular FPS titles today, offering a fresh competitive experience within the tournament. It provides a platform for players to test themselves, improve, and stand out among the best university talent in the region.

TWO NEW SEASONS AND PRIZE POOL

In 2026, VALORANT will be featured for the first time in both Season 7 and Season 8 of the A1 Student eChallenge, contributing to the total prize pool of 2250€ and expanding the range of titles within the competition.

DATES & FORMAT

The VALORANT tournament kicks off with two open qualifiers, where teams compete in a single-elimination format played in BO1 matches, with BO3 decider matches. The top four teams from each qualifier advance to the group stage.

The group stage consists of two groups of four teams, played in a round-robin format with BO1 matches. The top two teams from each group move on to the playoffs.

The final stage takes place over two days in a single-elimination bracket, with all matches played in BO3 format to determine the champions.

The following document outlines the rules of the competition that should be followed by all of the A1 Adria League and A1 Student eChallenge participants. Breaking the rules will result in a penalty outlined in the rulebook.

Please note that the tournament administration always has the final say and may adjust or modify the rules in specific situations to ensure fair play and sportsmanship.
