Players compete in team-based matches, typically 5v5, with one side attacking and the other defending, completing objectives such as bomb defusal or hostage rescue. The game emphasizes precision shooting, map control, strategic coordination, and fast decision-making, offering a highly competitive and skill-intensive experience that rewards both individual talent and teamwork.

A1 ADRIA LEAGUE

Counter-Strike 2 has been a core part of the A1 Adria League since the league’s inception, consistently offering the largest prize pools and the most intense competition among all titles. Known as the league’s boldest and most competitive game, CS2 has always attracted top regional talent, providing a stage for highly skilled players to showcase strategy, coordination, and individual excellence. Its enduring presence underscores the game’s importance in the Adriatic esports ecosystem and its role in shaping the league’s competitive identity.

A1 STUDENT ECHALLENGE – S7 & S8

As one of the most iconic competitive titles, Counter-Strike 2 plays a central role in the A1 Student eChallenge, bringing together some of the most skilled university teams in Croatia. Known for its tactical depth and team-based gameplay, CS2 offers students the opportunity to compete in a structured environment where coordination, communication, and individual performance all come into play.

Through A1SeC, players gain valuable competitive experience while testing themselves against top student talent, whether they are aiming to improve or take their first steps toward a professional career. The title continues to be a cornerstone of the competition, reflecting its importance within both student esports and the wider regional scene.

TWO NEW SEASONS AND PRIZE POOL

In 2026, Counter-Strike 2 will once again be featured in both Season 7 and Season 8 of the A1 Student eChallenge, contributing to the total prize pool of 2250€ and maintaining its position as one of the key titles in the tournament.

DATES & FORMAT

The CS2 tournament begins with two open qualifiers, where teams compete in a single-elimination format with BO3 matches and a BO5 decider, with the top four teams from each qualifier advancing to the group stage.

The group stage features two groups of four teams playing a round-robin format in BO1 matches, with the top two teams from each group moving on to the playoffs.

The final stage is played as a single-elimination bracket across two days, with all matches in BO3 format, deciding the champions.
