League of Legends qualifiers are starting!
You see, we tried to mix things up this year, so we decided to focus on one game at a time. Not to toot our own horn, but that was a great idea.
Be that as it may, we’re now more than ready to proceed with the League of Legends qualifiers, and you know what that means – more information for each and every one of you! If you don’t have a team already, you should go and find one ASAP as this marks the beginning of the official Season 2 qualifiers!
If you’ve followed our CS:GO qualifiers, you probably know the drill, but we’re going to freshen up your memory just in case. There will be 4 qualifiers, starting July 7, where all interested teams can apply and dish it out amongst themselves. This’ll lead to 4 double elimination groups, just like CS:GO, where pairs will be drawn and the best team will earn their place in the League. After all of that is done, there will be one more wildcard qualifier that will give us two more teams.
To make it clearer:
-
The best 4 teams out of each open qualifier will advance through to the DE round, played 4.,5. and 11. and 12. of August
-
LoL wildcard qualifier is set to start on 25.8.
Make sure you apply for the cups right away, and secure your spot in the open qualifier bracket. Participation is free, and all you need to to is to have a team and follow the rules of the qualifiers! Make sure you check out the ESL Play hub for the League for the detailed rundown of everything else you need to know.
We’ll also be announcing the two LoL invited teams in the following days, so stay tuned to find out who will be waiting for the qualified teams in the League!
