The four of the best teams in the League of Legends qualifier will compete on Saturday, 16th of April for the prize pool of 1000€! Harmony, GINYU FORCE, DZANGLERI, and Reroot Gaming are the teams we will watch as they battle it out on the Summoner’s Rift for the trophy!

Four teams in a battle for 1000€

Harmony had a convincing showing in the qualifier. The last year’s finalists managed to secure their spot in the playoffs with a 2:0 win over Prolom Voda. GINYJU FORCE bested Cloud Leopards in the same fashion for a spot in the top 4. DZANGLERI outplayed paraolimpijci while Reroot Gaming and Seraphine t3 subs had to play all three matches to decide which team is going to advance. In the end, it was the Reroot Gaming squad that came on top.

The playoffs will be played in the double-elimination format. Semifinals matches will be Best-of-1, while all of the remaining matches, including the grand finals, will be Best-of-3 series.

The first team to secure LoL playoffs in A1AL was Harmony!

The first and only qualifier for the most famous game in the world League of Legends is over. We have seen as many as 22 teams fight for the top 4 placements and playoffs which will be held next week. The winner will receive a 700€ prize, while the second-place team will be awarded 300€.

Decisive performance from Harmony and GINYU FORCE

Teams had a long journey today in order to qualify for the semifinals and playoff in League of Legends. We have seen some familiar names, as well as some new teams. One of the teams that had a good and dominant run until the quarterfinals were Clouded Leopards. Unfortunately, they didn’t manage to defeat GINYU FORCE in the Bo3 quarterfinals and qualify for the LoL playoff. It was team GINYU FORCE who came out of that match victorious, with a clean 2:0 win.

One of the first LoL teams that secured their spot in the semifinals is a well-known team, Harmony. The Macedonian squad also participated last year in A1 Adria League and even reached the finals, where they eventually lost to last year’s champion Metamoon. This year Harmony is also showing how committed and strong they are. With a 2:0 win over Prolom Voda, they managed to qualify for playoffs.

While Harmony and GINYU FORCE had it easy, the other two semifinalists had to play all three games to secure the win. Team DZANGLERI managed to defeat paraolimpijci and be the third team to advance to the semifinals.

The longest Bo3 series was between Seraphine t3 subs and Reroot Gaming. Both teams showed great skill and desire to move to the next stage of the competition but unfortunately only one could. After three matches, team Reroot Gaming managed to defeat their opponents and be the last, fourth team to advance to the semifinals.

These 4 teams in the A1AL League of Legends competition will fight for the title and the prize next Saturday so don’t miss it. The bracket will be double elimination, and the top two teams will be awarded. Good luck!

League of Legends is once again a part of the A1 Adria League. In Season 9 we made some changes to the format. There will be only one qualifier for League of Legends and you don’t want to miss it! The best teams from the Adriatic region will get the opportunity to secure a spot in the playoffs to battle it out for the trophy.

League of Legends is the most popular esports in the world. Throughout the years one of the most popular PC games received a number of accolades including those for Best Free-to-Play Game at the Golden Joystick Awards in 2011, Best Esports Game at The Game Awards in 2019 and 2020, and many others. In 2021 there were around 715,000 players in the game at any given time! It’s still one of the most popular categories on Twitch.tv despite being released 13 years ago. It’s pretty clear why is it still a part of the A1 Adria League.

Last year we saw team Metamoon lift the trophy after beating teams like Harmony and 49% winrate. Now the new journey begins as we seek a new League of Legends champion of the A1 Adria League. The prize pool for Season 9 is 1000€. The winning team will take home 700€, while the rest will go to the 2nd best. Keep in mind that the whole competition will be played over two consecutive Saturdays. One for qualifiers, and the other for playoffs.

The qualifiers will be played in a single-elimination best of one format with deciding matches will be best of three series (quarterfinals). This way we will get the four teams that will be competing for the title. The format for the playoffs will be double elimination, the only difference from qualifiers is that all the matches will be played in the best of three series. One of the requirements for the teams is that at least three players are from the countries in the Adriatic regions (3+2). Don’t miss out on the qualifiers. The ninth season lies at the doorsteps, and qualifications for our own A1 Adria League are starting soon. Don’t wait any longer and sign up so you can start competing for the title of being the best in the region. The new season of the most prestigious tournament in our region is bringing something new each year. This year is no exception.

We are adding more games this year, alongside the standard ones, Brawl Stars, CS:GO, and FIFA 22. League of Legends and Clash Royale will also be a part of the ninth season of A1 Adria League, only with a slightly different format. And that’s not all. The best regional players will have an opportunity to compete at two new games, which will for now remain a secret.

The ninth season brings seven games

The previous year was a successful one for A1 Adria League. Fans have had the chance to follow the progress of regional players in different games, and enjoy the league. The fact that A1AL had almost 29.000 watched hours last year, and a whopping number of 463.000 views on YouTube shows that regional esports is growing every day.

For this year and two upcoming seasons, we have made a few changes. Instead of four games, as was mentioned earlier, the ninth season will have seven! The format will remain almost the same for Brawl Stars, CS:GO and FIFA 22 while in the other four games players will have a different experience. League of Legends, Clash Royale, and two mystery games will be held on the weekends with open qualifiers and the finals event.

A1 Adria League seven games

Popular CS:GO is yet again back. Last year we have seen PORTUGAL win the trophy, beating teams such as iNation and 4Glory, who are at the moment in great form proving this year’s competition won’t be any easier than last year’s. Don’t miss the chance to fight with the best teams in the region!

Last year’s Brawl Star champions were team Flow alongside Lavvek who proved that in the region this mobile game is growing more and more with each successful season. Familiar names in this game, which we have seen last year are Winx Club, Omert4, Lightning Strike, and many others.

FIFA 21 was one of the most interesting games to follow last year. Three-time back-to-back champion Amke has shown once again he is not letting go of the throne that easily. Despite the great effort of esad1memic and brstimir, Amke remained the king of FIFA. However, as the season is on its way, new opportunities to dethrone Amke are opening up, as well the opportunities for the three-time champion to defend his title.

The only MOBA in our A1 Adria League League of Legends waits for the new champion. Last year the trophy fell into the hands of Metamoon who didn’t have an easy job. They defeated Harmony and 49% winrate in order to lift the trophy. Even though Harmony was a better team in the semifinals, Metamoon got their revenge in the finals when they bested their opponents.

What to expect this season?

Besides the seven games we are implementing this season, A1 Adria League is bringing more to the new season. Once again you will be able to enjoy A1 Gaming Weekends. Six of these events will be held between the ninth and tenth season of A1AL, in order to provide more fun and competitions while the offseason lasts. At the A1 Gaming Weekends regional players will be able to enjoy competing with each other in a more relaxing atmosphere.

And last but not least, June will be the month of yet another gaming festival Reboot Online Games Week powered by A1. During this festival, you will be able to find out who are the winners of the upcoming ninth season.

From A1 Adria League to the biggest tournaments in the world

Throughout eight seasons of A1 Adria League (A1AL), we had the opportunity to see some of the biggest regional talents in esports. The fact that goes in favor of this is that some of them had the chance to work or play on some of the biggest esports tournaments in the world. As there are too many of them we can’t fit them all, so we singled out the most successful ones.

Four years and eight seasons of A1 Adria League

It’s been four years since the first season of the A1 Adria League, at that time called Vip Adria League. Since the beginning, a lot of things have changed. However, the help in the development and establishment of domestic esports players has always remained the same. It wasn’t just the players who were gaining a valuable platform for competing and experience throughout the league, but also those who had the opportunity to work on this project. The image of regional esports wouldn’t be the same today without one of the most long-lived leagues. 

Thousands of players played countless matches in order to obtain the flattering title of best in the region. Some of them have made impressive careers. 

Valiance&CO – the legendary roster

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is the game that has been a part of A1 Adria Leagues since season one. One of the teams which marked this league since the beginning is Valiance&CO, champions of the first two seasons. Even though Valiance&CO have won the league with slightly different rosters, the core of this team remained the same. nexa, huNter-, emi and LETN1 did that miracle run with CR4ZY at StarLadder Major in Berlin, while Impulse kept dominating the regional CS:GO scene for years to come.

Duo players Nemanja “huNter-” Kovač, who won the league two times, and Nemanja “nexa” Isaković who joined the team before the second title, also used to play together in G2 Esports – one of the top five CS:GO teams in the world! They split ways in their recent careers with nexa joining the ranks of OG, while huNter- stayed with NiKO in a refreshed G2 lineup featuring m0NESY and aleksib – competing at both the Intel Extreme Masters tournament in Köln and IEM Katowice in Poland.

Besides them, we have to mention Pavle “maden” Bošković who starred in A1 Adria League playing for teams like UltiCoin and Ripple Esports. After a few years with the FPX core, he moved on to compete under the ENCE’s banner. ex-BLINK with different rosters and by various names also participated in the league. Today the four members Sener “SENER1” Mahmuti, Flatro “juanflatroo” Halimi, Dionis “sinnopsyy” Budeci, and Genc “gxx-” Kolgeci are in the top 50 teams in the world, currently looking for organization to represent.

The KlikTech journey

From the champions in the first two seasons in the A1 Adria League in League of Legends, you could probably make a respectable European team.

Toni “Sacre” Sabalić and Aljoša “Milica” Kovandžić, players of the now legendary KlikTech, after great regional success, have found their way to the League of Legends European Championship, the strongest European league in this esports. They were part of the team which surprised the whole European LoL scene qualifying to top eight of European Masters in 2018. Regional representatives had only one better performance in this tournament since its inception. ASUS ROG ELITE was the better team, who in order to win the second season of the league had to beat KlikTech, mentioned earlier. Dino “LIMIT” Tot played for ASUS that year, and today he is a BDS player in the League of Legends European Championship (LEC). 

World success isn’t reserved only for players

It wasn’t only the players that made it to the top of world esports. A lot of people who were during the years working on the realization of A1 Adria League now still work in esports and on some of the biggest tournaments. They are rarely spoken of, but their success isn’t any less valuable, and they are equally important for the growth and development of regional esports. One of them is Ante “med1cz” Medić. In A1 Adria League he was an observer, and you could also see him commentating on some of the matches. Today he works for Ubisoft, as an official observer and in-game director of the biggest Rainbow Six Siege tournaments. He worked on the broadcast of the biggest R6 esports tournaments, including Six Invitational in Montreal and Paris, as well as Six Mexico Major.

Metamoon are your A1 Adria League LoL champions!

In the final two matches of this season, Metamoon came out on top and outplayed both 49% winrate and Harmony to win the main prize.

As the double-elimination League of Legends bracket has been slowly progressing throughout the season, only two matches remained for today. The matches in question were the lower-bracket final and of course, the grand finals. Since 49% winrate outplayed Clouded Leopards in the previous round, they were set to challenge Metamoon for a spot in the finals. 49% winrate didn’t weren’t in a good form today, so Metamoon had an easy time in the lower-bracket finals (2-0).

This win put Harmony and Metamoon in the final match. The two teams played each other a week ago when the Macedonian side was better in the upper-bracket finals. This time, however, Metamoon was clearly the better team. Harmony couldn’t win a single game, and the result was 3-1 only because they came from the upper bracket. After losing to Split Raiders in the last season, this is the second consecutive season that Harmony finish the season in second place. We are happy to conclude one more League of Legends tournament for this year. Congratulations to every team that participated and especially to Metamoon, who are your A1 Adria League LoL champions!

Everything you need to know about the Esports studio of the Reboot Online Games Week five-day long event can be found below!

We already revealed some of the segments and more information about the rest will be revealed soon. Reboot Online Games Week will last for five days and will have content across three topics from the gaming industry: Core Gaming, Games Industry, and Esports. As you could probably guess, A1 Adria League’s final stage will be a part of the Esports event, but the playoffs won’t be the only thing you will get to watch in the exciting week ahead of us.

Every day, the event will begin with a different segment related to esports in one way or another. Namely, the viewers will have the chance to play with the players in the IGRAJ segment, we will hear the stories of Esad “esad1memic”and Mladen “juricM” Jurić, and we will also follow a couple of entertaining streams by Vojislav “SupremeNexus” Perić and Safet “giGOD” Čurić. There will be a humanitarian event (more information to be revealed soon) and four panels we mentioned in one of our recent posts. Concerning the actual League, Brawl Stars is set to be played on Wednesday, while Thursday and Friday will be dedicated to FIFA. The double-elimination LoL bracket will culminate on Saturday and finally, CS:GO will close out the event at the end of the week. The full schedule can be seen below:

Harmony enter the League of Legends grand finals!

The upper bracket final match saw Harmony outplay Metamoon and become the first team in the grand finals.

While our other three games had their respective SWISS stages decide the playoffs participants, after the qualifiers, League of Legends jumped straight into the playoffs. With a slower tempo, the eight teams have been playing the double-elimination bracket during the regular season, and now they are ready for the final stage.

We knew the top 3 teams before this playday. However, one more match was needed before the final playday. It was the upper bracket final duel between Harmony and Metamoon. The former finished Season 7 in second place and are now eager to take the title. Ghisou’s squad were more than dominant in the first game and won that match with ease. Metamoon weren’t ready to give up just yet and struck back on the second match. In the end, Harmony took them down and secured their spot in the grand finals. The League of Legends final matches will be played next Saturday. We will watch two matches – the lower bracket final as well as the grand finals.

Two two-hour periods of the Reboot Online Games Week will be dedicated to watching live streams of regional esport personalities.

Safet “giGOD” Čurić is one of the biggest CS:GO content creators in the region who is also a professional player in the game. He has played in a number of teams in BiH and in the whole region and is currently representing Marten Gaming in the A1 Adria League. Right before Mladen “juricM” Jurić will share his story in the My Story segment, giGOD will spend two hours playing CS:GO, having fun with the chat, and hopefully winning some ELO. His stream will run on Thursday, starting at 13 o’clock.

On Friday, it will be Vojislav “SupremeNexus” Perić who will be a part of the Reboot Online Games Week. The renowned YouTuber recently joined the A1 Adria League casting squad for two games – Brawl Stars and League of Legends. Those will also be the two games that SupremeNexus will be playing live on our channels a day later than giGOD. Starting at 13 o’clock. Vojislav will play Brawl Stars for one hour, followed by an hour of League of Legends.

The second A1 Adria League season of 2021 is a week away from the final matches that will decide our new champions. Here is a short recap of the season so far.

Three SWISS stages completed; LoL ready for its final matches

Over the course of the past months, A1 Adria League was once again the battleground of four titles: CS:GO, League of Legends, Brawl Stars and FIFA. A huge number of players from every single country in the region signed up to play and compete in their game of choice. A qualifying stage was followed by a SWISS group in three of the four games, excluding League of Legends. Last week those SWISS group concluded, and we now know all of the playoffs participants.

Brawl Stars was Salada de Frutas’ playground during the entirety of the SWISS stage. In only three rounds, they managed to continue the winning streak the team had in the qualifiers and advance to the playoffs with ease. Right after them, three Brawl Stars squads followed them in the playoffs. Winx Club and Omert4 did so with a 3-1 record, while Lightning Strike qualified in the last round. Miloš “brstimir” Majdevac, Esad “esad1memic” Memić, Haris “edenn95” Lukomirak and Tarik “amke2001” Novo were the fastest to adapt to the new FIFA edition and clinch the top 4 spots in the eight season of FIFA.

Moving to CS:GO, the team that debuted in the league, iNation, was also the team that had a perfect run. We will watch three teams that were a part of the final stage in the previous season as well. Namely, the two Macedonian teams, PORTUGAL and BLUEJAYS,  and 4glory are going to make an appearance in our upcoming single-elimination bracket. Finally, League of Legends is nearing the end of the playoffs bracket. Metamoon, Harmony and 49%winrate are left to play out the remainder of the season.
