CS:GO Open Qualifiers in numbers!

The first step in the journey to the League group stage is behind us, ladies and gentlemen. With 4 weeks of great CS:GO behind us, we’re now ready to step into the second phase of the competition, but not without reflecting on the qualifier rounds behind us.

The online qualifiers hosted 91 unique teams and 409 unique players from all of the regional countries who competed in 4 separate online qualifiers. This year, we put some new twists on the online qualifier formula, and we must say that it turned out pretty sweet. We had more teams than ever, and we also managed to let much more teams to the next phase of the competition.

This all means that even if the teams didn’t play that good in their final matches, they can still get the chance to advance to the next stage. The 16 qualified teams are all good in their own right, but it remains to be seen whether the winners will hold their own against the challengers that will be itching to secure a spot in the League, no doubt.

This’ll provide us with some grade-A CS:GO coming your way in the following weeks, so stay tuned and keep your eyes peeled.

If you still haven’t managed to qualify with your team, there’s a wildcard qualifier in store, and that will be your real last chance to get a spot in the League this year – don’t miss it!

Without further ado, we present to you the teams that will compete in the qualifier groups:

The next phase of the competition will be delayed slightly, so that the matches don’t clash with the Battle4Split LAN finals that some teams are participating in.We wish all the teams the best of luck and good riddance, as we prepare for the next action-packed phase of this exciting qualifying period!

GamePub won the 4th open CS:GO qualifier!

Well, this is it, folks! Our online qualifiers are officially done, and we have our 16 best teams that will dish it out in the next stage of the competition.

It’s been a wonderful month for all of us in the League, and we’re eager to see what’s going to happen next as the it charges towards the group stage.

The fourth round of the online qualifiers gathered 40 CS:GO teams last Saturday, and the lucky four teams to qualify were Game Pub, Mischievous E-Sports, Dual Desektas and GIANT5. They will join the previously qualified teams in the second round of the qualifiers, where they will be competing for the slot in the League. Game Pub were the winners of the qualifying round, edging out Mischievous in the final, with the score 16:13 on Dust2.

As the online qualifiers are behind us, we’re turning our sights to the qualifier groups that will start shortly. However, because of the Battle4Split LAN tournament that is taking place this weekend, we’ll be moving the dates of the groups slightly, so that the dates don’t clash and the teams that play in both competitions have adequate time to prepare and practice.

One more announcement we have to make is that KlikTech has disbanded, and we’re left with one extra slot for the next phase. To fill it we’re announcing one extra cup this Saturday that will include the 4 losing quarter final teams from the 4 online qualifiers, and the lucky winners will advance through the next phase of the competition.

We’re looking forward to the next step in the qualifiers and are itching to see who will be the teams that come out as winners of the qualifier groups. As always, stay tuned for more info, and make sure you follow us on social media!

Vip Adria League CS:GO : halfway through the online qualifiers journey!

Time flies while you’re having fun, right? That’s how we feel because we’re already halfway through the open online qualifiers for CS:GO, and it’s been pretty nice so far.

During the first two rounds we had more than 300 players competing online for a place in the League, and ended up with 8 teams that advance to the next round. That leaves us with 8 more spots for the next part of our CS:GO qualifiers that will be filled in the next 2 saturdays.

The 8 teams that qualified for the next part of qualifying are:

  • Q1: GameZone Prizren, KlikTech, HEJT, and BHGODS
  • Q2: Project Lunacy, Represent Gaming, Dream Theater, and Vilay Esport.

So far we’ve seen some pretty great CS:GO action, and familiar teams like KlikTech and Project Lunacy are joined by some rather fresh faces, which will make for some great action in the qualifier groups. If you’re in dire need of application links, here’s the one for the third CS:GO qualifier, so you can secure a place in the online qualifications this saturday afternoon.

What’s next?

The 16 teams that advance through the open qualifiers will then enter the second part of the competition, the double elimination groups that will also be played online. The groups are scheduled to start 19.5. and will finish on 27.5. We’re looking forward to seeing how will the teams compete in the qualification groups. The entire online qualifications will be rounded up by our wildcard qualifier that is scheduled to start 9.6. Of course, we would advise against betting everything on the wildcard qualifier, as there’s two entire days worth of CS:GO qualifiers coming our way, and you and your team should definitely apply.

Once you get to the group stage, you’ll be set to compete for a piece of our €10.000 prize pool for CS:GO. The winners of the League will go home with €5.000, while the second placed team will earn €3.000. The fourth and fifth teams will win €1.500 and €500, respectively. Good luck in the qualifiers!

We’re slowly waking up from our slumber between the seasons, and we have some news that we hope you’ll like as much as we do. The CS:GO cups are open for applications, and you can start preparing your team right now!

First things first, though. As we’ve already mentioned in our season announcement a few days back, we’re coming in strong with the qualifiers this year. Because we’ve switched things up a bit, we must remind you that the CS:GO qualifiers will be held first, and LoL online qualifiers will start as soon as CS:GO ends.

There will be 4 rounds of CS:GO qualifiers, starting on the 21st of April this year, with applications being open until that day. The qualifiers will be held every week, and four teams from every round will advance to the double elimination groups, with an extra wildcard qualifier after the groups. The dates are as follows:

Remember, 4 teams will advance to the qualification groups after each round of online qualifiers, so you don’t have to be first to secure the spot in the next round!

Apart from the dates and the format, the style of the competition will be the same as last year. Players are required to play with ESL Wire and will be competing in BO1 (single elimination) matches in this round of qualifiers. You can sign up with your team right away, and we wish you the best of luck! Detailed rules can be checked out on the official cup site.
