Gale wins again: EA FC Mobile closes out A1AL Weekly

The A1 Adria League Weekly competitions are now officially behind us. In an intense playoff final over the weekend we concluded the Weekly series with another big final, thus rounding up the 10 weeks of play with the game we started out with almost 10 weeks ago: EA FC Mobile. In an interesting turn of events, the winner of the first Weekly of the year, Gale, also managed to win the last one, earning another €400 and cementing his name in the A1 Adria League history. So, how did it go down?

Group stage

The format of the EA FC Mobile playoffs remained the same as it was the first time around, and many of the names qualified for the second stage of competitions were also very familiar. We saw two groups of eight players compete for points to get them a spot in the playoffs. Gale, Danci, Ciro and Lazar advanced from Group A and met with TaleTopG, Shaq, Nikolas and Somzi in the top 8 playoffs.

In the first round, Gale, Danci, Tale and Nikolas won and moved to the upper bracket semis, while the remaining players needed to compete through the lower bracket to get another chance at the finals. Nikolas beat the first Weekly champion, Gale, in the first upper semi and secured a spot in the finals with relative ease. This meant that Gale needed to win big in the lower bracket to get a chance at redemption.

Before that would happen, Tale beat Somzi and Lazar won against Danci in the lower bracket, and in the coming match Lazar won against Tale and earned a shot at Gale who waited for the lower bracket to unfold. In one of the most intense matches of the season, Gale managed to just barely win against Lazar after scoring a winning goal in the 94th minute of the fifth match, getting back on track to the grand finals.

Grand finals

Nikolas and Gale clashed again in the big final, and Nikolas even had the advantage of one match due to him coming from the upper bracket. Still, after the first match ended in a draw, Gale dominated two games in a row and reset the bracket, which meant that it all came down to a single match.

In the last match of the grand final, both players played very carefully, and we did not have a winner after regulation, so we proceeded to the golden goal, which happened just before halftime in the golden goal match. Gale completed his revenge on Nikolas and secured another big win in the A1 Adria League weekly, making him the most dominant player of the entire season.

With this last round recapped, we’re done with the Weekly tournaments! It was a blast watching players compete in various games, and we can’t wait to see more of them again very soon. We’re currently looking forward to the summer break and planning our return to competition very soon.

First Weekly is over – Gale wins the EA FC Mobile Weekly 1!

The weekend behind us was huge, with three separate events taking place in the League. We saw the culmination of the EA FC Mobile playoffs where Gale took the first trophy of the Weekly tournaments, but also watched the first matches of the A1 Student eChallenge in EA FC and the regular EA FC qualifiers. It was an action-packed Easter weekend with many winners, but unfortunately an even larger number of those not so lucky.

EA FC Mobile Playoffs

Our first playoffs of the Weekly tournament series happened across the weekend in EA FC Mobile. Last weekend, we saw the qualifying rounds where players gathered points and were positioned in two groups: A and B. Group A saw Nikolas, TaleTopG, Cola and Shaq advance to the group playoffs after an exciting group stage. TaleTopG, the best-placed player in the qualifiers, managed to qualify for the playoffs, together with Nikolas. Interestingly, the three top players from Group A all had 12 points, so the goal difference was the decider. Since only two players advance, Shaq was left out due to his goal difference being +1, compared to Tale’s +8 and Nikolas’ +4 differences. This is the first-ever time that Shaq missed out on the playoffs.

In Group B, Gale won the group stage with a total of 10 points, and was joined by Somzi, last year’s A1 Adria League EA FC Mobile winner. Somzi managed to edge out Lazar purely on goal difference, and earned his place in the big finals played on Easter Sunday.

On Sunday, we saw Gale’s dream run continue as he dropped Nikolas to the lower bracket in the first round before beating TaleTopG in the next round. In the lower bracket, Somzi won against Nikolas but lost to Tale, setting up a big rematch in the finals. Gale once again proved his class and won again in the grand final, securing the title of the A1 Adria League EA FC Mobile Weekly champion.

EA FC Qualifiers and A1AL SeC

At the same time as the EA FC Mobile playoffs were unravelling, we watched the first and second rounds of qualifiers for the EA FC Weekly, where some of the greatest regional players tried to secure a spot in the next round. There were more than 170 players participating in the two open qualifiers, but at the end of the day, only the best eight regional EA FC players advanced. In the first round, 101 players competed, but Novo, Marac, PLGNN_MAKSA and Bati were the best ones in the end. Interestingly, Novo beat three players from CLA, a notable regional organisation, on his way to the next stage. Bati, a player who used to play in the Student eChallenge, made the next step and proved he can show up on the big stage as well.

In the second qualifier, one of the best regional players, Cyber_fico, secured a big win, helping CLA secure at least one spot in the next stage. He will be joined by misko_fifa, fika and BackoSRB, making Serbia the most successful nation in the qualifiers with four players in the next round.

The playoffs for EA FC will happen over the weekend between April 25th and 27th.

The A1 Student eChallenge in EA FC also impressed over the weekend. The current champion, Tome Trnjanac, will be joined by Borna Batisweiler, the third-placed player from last year, Luka Kontek, and Dražen Srzetić. The Student eChallenge playoffs will take place on Thursday, April 24th.

With the league slowly picking up the pace, we’re looking at many more play days before the Weekly events wrap up in mid-June. If you haven’t done so already, apply for the upcoming events in League of Legends, CS2, Rocket League, PUBG or the second round of EA FC Mobile

A1 Adria League Weekly kicks off with EA FC Mobile

The first matches of the A1 Adria League in 2025 were finally played over the weekend. The first three qualifiers saw the top 8 players advance to the playoff stage of the EA FC Mobile tournament, and we’re here to tell you all about it.

Day 1: Mad start to the competition

The first day of the Weekly tournaments and EA FC games provided quite a bit in terms of excitement and surprises. For a start, we saw two newcomers Ekii7 and ANDROVSKI_MKD get into the top 8 players on their first appearance in the competition. The winner of the weekly was the well-known regional layer Somzi, beating Nikolas7 in the finals. However, the true drama came our way in the third-place decider match between Ogiii and SPK_Hamdija. Ogiii won the first match 4:1, and Hamdija missed a penalty in the 82nd minute of the second match but scored one in extra time, thus opening the decider match. However, the third game ended with the result at 1:1, and the replay (played with the golden goal mode) had zero goals. In the fifth (and final) match, Ogiii scored the golden goal in the 15th minute and secured the third spot in the Weekly.

Day 2: Solid performances without big surprises

In the second day of competition, we did not see blockbuster games similar to day 1, but it should be noted that lazar0001, the second-placed player from the 14th season of the A1 Adria League, won the second qualifier after beating two-time (S12 and S13) champion FE_shaq.

Day 3: third time a charm for TaleTopG

The third and final day of qualifiers saw the players continue collecting points for the playoffs and hard work paying off for TaleTopG. Despite not finishing in the top three in the first two qualifiers, TaleTopG managed to win the third round by beating HRD_Gale in the finals. Interestingly, TaleTopG managed to grab the first place in the overall rankings despite finishing with just a total of 60 points in the first two rounds. Winning the third round secured him first place with a total of 240 points.

The eight top players will now prepare for the playoffs that are coming our way on Easter Sunday, April 20th. TaleTopG, shaq, Čola56 and Nikolas7 will compete in Group A, while Somzi, Lazar, Ggaleee and Ogiii will start their playoff journey in Group B. The total prize pool for EA FC Mobile is 800€, with 400 going to the best player, 250€ going to the second-place and the third-place player winning €150.

Make sure you follow the action over the weekend, and remember: there is one more round of EA FC Mobile coming our way in June!
