Closed qualifier groups are upon us!

Boys and girls, we’re approaching a new milestone for the League, and we’re slowly approaching the double elimination groups!

After the additional qualifier round that saw KlikTech take the last spot in the Closed Qualifier Double Elimination groups left vacant by the disbanding of, well, KlikTech. We’re confused, too, but the boys earned their place fair and square and we’re all set to start the action!

KlikTech beat LACASADEPAPEL 2:0 in the additional qualifier and will join Dual Desetkas, ex Represent Gaming and GAMEZONE in the group A of the DE qualifiers. Group B will see GIANT5, HEJT, Screamstars and BHGODS while Mischievous and Project Lunacy will be joined by PointClick and Vilay eSport Academy in group C. The final group, D, will consist of Fortnite, Rudeš Esport, Smecari and Gamepub.

The matches will be played in the standard double elimination format, and you can check out the matchups on the cup microsites:

• Group A – played on Saturday, 26.5.
• Group B – played on Sunday, 27.5.
• Group C – played on Saturday, 02.6.
• Group D – played on Sunday, 03.6.

The stream will be starting @ 16:00 every closed qualifier day, follow you favourite team through their road to the group stage, cheer for them and you will get a chance to win some of the prices that Vipnet has prepared for all of you.

After the groups for the closed qualifiers are finished, there will be one more, additional wildcard qualifierplayed on 09.6., that will bring us the final team that will compete in the group stage of the League. Everyone who feels bad for missing the abundance of qualifiers until now will need to wait for the wildcard qualifier, or wait for the next season, so practice a bit more and be ready for the wildcard!

Of course, we’d like to congratulate all of the teams that managed to find their way to the DE brackets, and wish them the best of luck in the groups. We’re eager to see who finds their way to the League!
