We’re now two weeks into the A1 Adria League Season 15, and all the competitions are now well underway. This also means that the A1 Student eChallenge has returned for its latest season, allowing students from across Croatia to compete in a series of games, take home cash prizes and perhaps have some fun along the way.
The basics are the same as before, and we didn’t change much to the formula since the last edition earlier this year. The qualifiers are also open, and we urge you to sign up for the competition through the official website and leave your mark on the A1 Adria League!
The total prize pool for the upcoming season is €3150, spread across four games. These are:
- Counter-Strike 2
- EA FC 26
- Rocket League
- League of Legends
As you probably know, Rocket League and League of Legends are not a part of the main league, which makes it all the more interesting for players and fans alike. While the A1 Adria League competitions take place across multiple weeks and multiple qualifier rounds, the A1SeC will have a slightly different format, with one game taking the spotlight after the other. The competitions have already begun over the weekend with the first matches in EA FC 26, and we will continue all the way through October before we finish the Student eChallenge in November.
EA FC 26
The qualifiers for the EA FC 26 tournament in the Student eChallenge were concluded over the weekend, which leaves us with the playoffs later this week. The top four players will compete on October 23rd in the playoffs.
The format is what we’re used to: a single-elimination BO3 bracket, with the top prize being €100. The second-placed player will take home €75 and the third place finisher will receive €50.
Rocket League
One of our favourite games in general, not just in the Student eChallenge, Rocket League, will return later this month with a round of qualifiers and playoffs. The qualifiers will take place on October 25th, and the playoffs are set to be played on October 30th.
The best team will receive €300, the second-placed team will receive €225, and the bronze medalists will receive €150.
League of Legends
Moving on to the games with five players per team, it’s all familiar with League of Legends. The qualifying matches will be played on November 2nd, while the playoffs are scheduled for November 6th.
The prize pool for League of Legends reflects the larger teams, which means that the winners will receive €500, the runners-up €375, and the third-placed team will get €250.
CS2
Rounding up the list of games is Counter-Strike 2, which is the only game where two rounds of playoffs are planned. The open qualifiers are scheduled for November 8th, and the playoffs will be played across two days; November 12 and 13.
The prize pool for CS2 is the same as the one for League of Legends, which means a total of €1125.
There is still plenty of time to apply for the A1SeC, and while you might not be able to compete in EA FC 26 any more, there are plenty of chances for those interested in the other games. Make sure to take a look at the official website for more information and reserve your place in the qualifiers.
