With two days of FIFA during the Reboot Online Games Week, we concluded yet another season filled with amazing goals and action-packed matches. Tarik “amke2001” Novo managed to outplay the competition for the second time in a row and become the A1 Adria League FIFA back-to-back champion. We interviewed amke2001 to talk about the recent season, the state of the international FIFA scene as well as his future plans!
Congratulations on your back-to-back A1 Adria League victory! Which season had a tougher competition – this one or season 6?
Regarding the competition, I think that this season was the hardest one so far, there were a lot of players throughout the league that left a great impression.
In your opinion, which players had a great season? Do we have an upcoming FIFA star in the region?
I wouldn’t single out anyone since a lot of the players surprised me and showed that they can achieve a lot. All of the names that were in the top 8 played an amazing season and deserve respect.
There were incredible matches in the playoffs. How satisfied are you with your performance in the final stage?
For me personally, the playoffs were intense and tiring, we played a lot of matches. The format itself is really draining and requires 100% focus in every game that you play.
How good is the regional FIFA scene compared with the international scene? What do our players miss?
I think that the quality of the players is not the problem here, but the marketing and hype that we miss in the region. The international FIFA scene has incredible advertisements and they promote their events a lot, so from that side, we can’t really reach that level yet.
Do you participate in other competitions aside from the A1 Adria League? Where can we watch and follow you? Will you take part in the next season?
I am not playing other tournaments, and you can watch me during the A1 Adria League as I usually don’t stream. Of course, I will participate in the next season! I am eagerly awaiting the start of season 8!
