A1 Adria League Season 15: Week 6 Recap

We are already five whole weeks into Season 15 of the A1 Adria League. The competitions in both the professional and student tournaments are very much underway and are in different stages, depending on the game. For example, while EA FC Mobile is currently in its main group phase, Brawl Stars and EA FC 26 are in their respective Swiss stages. Let’s unwrap and understand what happened in Week Six!

Brawl Stars

Our brawlers are now knee-deep in the regular season after several very surprising rounds of open qualifiers. In the end, most of the best regional teams did end up in the Swiss stage, but Week 6 has shown us that CMM’s dominance might not last too much longer. The reigning champions just barely won against AuraMaxima with a 3-2 result, showing that they can also have bad days. On the other hand, AM UN GRATAR and The Lethal Force showed promise in Week 6 by beating Sedmi Sprat and Ragebait. Six Seven forfeited their match, leaving La Passiona as a default winner of their matchup.

EA FC Mobile

In our EA FC Mobile group stage, there’s a tale of two halves. In Group A, Lazar is sailing smoothly with several wins over the weekend, making him the biggest favourite in Group A, as well as a broader favourite for the next stages of the EA FC Mobile. Other Group A contenders played solidly, with Luka showing the most promise with two wins. Mahir and Hamdija are currently trailing behind.

In Group B, there’s much more drama. While A saw several dominant wins by Lazar, in B, almost everyone beat everyone this weekend, and those who did not win still got points from draws! First Čola beat Andy, but then lost to Aleksandar. Tale then won and drew, and Andy also won and drew. With so many points going around, the group’s standings are properly scrambled, but the question remains whether any single one of these players can beat Lazar if he keeps his form in the playoffs.

EA FC 26

In the third round of the Swiss phase in EA FC, we saw the first player get knocked out due to a poor score. In an elimination BO3 between former champion Tarik Novo and Škrga (Prodigy), the match went all the way, but in the end, it was Tarik who managed to stay afloat one more week in the A1AL. In the second match of the day, Backo beat Bere 2-0 in a stable and controlled series.

CS2 – Lower Bracket

The only CS match of the week saw Diamant Esports beat Ronin5 2-0 with a dominating performance. The two maps saw Diamant win 26 rounds and only lose six, completely controlling the match from start to finish.

We’ll continue with the action in the following weeks, but have in mind that we’re also inching closer to the culmination of Season 15, so keep your eyes peeled for more offers, giveaways, and the best regional esports matches.
